The aTa provides a service that is lacking in Manhattan. They are the only bus system, and work run on a lot of volunteer power. As well, they manage to run an on-call and fixed route system at affordable rates. Their system is not perfect, but with the changes that they are currently making, they have a bright future ahead of them. I am proud to have public transit in Manhattan, and will continue to use the fixed route system whenever I need a ride.

I have used the ATA service for over 2 years, both the demand service and the fixed route in Junction City. I have nothing but praise for the drivers, dispatchers and managers. No bus system is ever going to be perfect but I have pleased with the services they have provided for the time I have used them. It is my daily transportation to work, drivers are friendly the buses are clean. Any issues I have had always were handled professionally and they bent over backwards to find a way to solve any problem I had of which I only had 2 in over 2 years. I highly recommend them for your local weekday transportation. I truly wish they had a weekend service in Junction for those of us who work during week and would like to go to manhattan or do local shopping. The Drivers are not the friendliest. The buses can run 2-3 min late. but compared to KC Metro drivers and schedule, ATA is great. Very affordable. Some buses offer bike racks while others do not. This is frustrating for both the passengers because you don't know which to expect until a bus arrives at the stop. Wish there was a daily $5 route to Junction

they for me personally have screwed up my routes and been consistently late picking me up, dont tell you what policy they have and then try to over charge you for not knowing the policy and then when they try to charge you and you tell them they are trying to rob you and you drop the f bomb they dont give you a warning and kick you off the bus. yeah no where is there a sign that says no profanity even when you are the only one on the bus. so yeah dont use them as they suck and only use it if you have to and be prepared to have them screw up your ride as i had them literally go to the wrong house and then have them claim that i was not there. when i was standing out side of my house waiting for them as the idiot went down the wrong street and was not even on the right street and on a street 3 blocks down.

Unreliable service. Was picked up 30 minutes late. Took an hour to get to manhattan. The driver not only got lost trying to drop off another customer but made me late to clock in at 9 am. I'd never ride this bus system ever again if I didn't have to.
