If I could choose no stars, trust me I would. This really doesn't have to do with insurance issues, more so, personal issues, and the kind of person Athena is. I worked for Athena back in February. Her and I got along really well. I was told I need to pass my insurance test the first time so I could continue to work there. Long story short, I had 2 weeks to study for a very difficult test, and sadly I did not pass. I was heartbroken, and was embarrassed to even go back to work because I figured I didn't have a job, because without a license, you cannot legally sell insurance. I ended up not going back into work that day, (which yes, I should have), and I spoke to Athena on the phone that night. I let her know how I was feeling, and she told me that I could come back to work for her under some circumstances, however I did not feel comfortable doing that. I thought the call ended on a good note, however a week later, when I was supposed to receive my final paycheck, on Friday, March 3rd, I did not receive it. I tried reaching out to her numerous times, very professionally, and she refused to respond, so I went in there the Monday after I was supposed to get paid, to talk to her and just apologize if I had made her upset, and she chose to ignore me and call the cops on me because she felt I was disturbing her. I'm sorry but I don't think asking for money I am rightfully owed, is a disturbance, and the cops were on my side 100%. After that interaction, I knew I had to be the mature person and take the investigation to the labor board, to have them crack down on Athena, because she refused to be an adult about things. So after a month and a half of dealing with all of this, after the labor board contacted her 3 times, finally decided to pay me. All in all, Athena is a really immature person. And as nice as she may seem over the phone, do not be fooled by her one bit. I would never let somebody as shady as her, be my insurance agent. She is selfish, and feels the need to get her way, and is not the mature business woman I had once thought she was. I hope this shines a light on who Athena truly is, and if anyone has had a problem with her, you aren not alone. Be careful when you choose you insurance agent, and definitely do not go with Athena.

Been with Athena for 7 years now and we love her bubbly personality. She literally lives for her clients.

My experience with State Farm has been positive. I've kept an auto/life policy with them for quite some time and it's always a fair rate. Athena and Alyssa (I hope I spelled her name right!😖) are very sweet and I never feel pressured or unimportant. It's nice to have these hard working ladies on my side when I need assistance.

Okay so my experience:  the 2% of the times I've called and actually gotten her on the phone I'm always met with the most condescending and sarcastic attitude about any of my 3 auto, 1 motorcycle and 1 home policies.  I've since cancelled everything due to nothing more than her insulting and demeaning attitude.  I've requested thru the 800 number about 8 times for her to call me back and see about reviewing some of my coverages and instead she just cancels me without warning or trying to salvage my business or the tattered remains of her reputation.  I've launch an official complaint thru State Farm against her for this behavior and her negligent, unprofessional and irresponsible handling of my policies and their cancellation.  I also asked her about the scathing reviews on Yelp and she said they were all from 1 disgruntled employee.  I suspect otherwise.  I do NOT recommend her.  I literally recommend public transportation over doing any business w/ her.  Her attitude has been atrocious and even as I TRIED to find policy coverage with her company she treated me with distain over the phone and told me I should just go ahead and cancel everything if someone else was a little cheaper.  I seriously could go on.  Just know she will never call you back if you ever have questions or want to maybe request a reevaluation of your policies after years of coverage on 3 cars, a motorcycle and home.
