My experiences have been excellent at Athens Family Dental. Having worked as a New patient coordinator in an Orthodontic office for years, I recognize how important the office staff and the doctor’s staff is. Each staff member I encountered was very friendly and made me feel at ease. All of the doctors are very calming and friendly as well. At one time I worked in Atlanta as a facilitator for dental practices on how to best promote your office. Therefore, I feel I can be a good judge of what type of practice this is.

Really great practice. My kids and I had our first visit today and everything was great. The staff were all very patient and kind. We’re very happy we chose Athens family for our dental needs.

My daughter's cleaning appointments we're at 8:30 am. They did not get called back until 9:45am. I am still sitting in the waiting room and it is 10:30 am. Both of my children have missed important things at school because of this. I'd booked the appointments hoping to get them to school as quickly as possible. The office management is terrible. When I asked if this was normal, they said "yes". I'm so tired of doctor/dentist offices having no respect for their patients and the time they waste because they overbook. This place is awful.

Found this dentist after an unhappy experience elsewhere. They quoted me a much better price for my root canal and the procedure was pain free. It was a cold day and they even offered me a nice blanket to stay warm during the procedure. My entire family will be switching to Athens Family Dental.

Liked them at first. Dr & staff were courteous, and patient. The wait before appointments wasn't more than 20 minutes each time. However after the initial visit for a cleaning with x rays they said I had a cavity that needed to be fixed. My teeth weren't hurting at all prior to this, but I relied on what they said & let them fix it. After my 2nd visit to fix the cavity they said I had it took almost NINE months before that tooth stopped hurting after it was supposedly filled & I STILL have occasional pain with it. To add to our frustration, my husband went in for a cleaning & they told him because he has some issues with his gums (which other dentists have noted in the past), they would have to do some extensive cleaning that would cost $400.00 ABOVE what our insurance covers. We have since found another local provider that DIDN'T try to scam him for additional fees & his teeth were cleaned as well as they have always been at various other dentists offices over the years. Not sure why this place thinks they have to do a "special" cleaning, but we didn't fall for it, and hope you don't either.
