I’ve been here a few times and have the same dr. (Dr. Ken). He’s nice but he doesn’t have a personality whatsoever. I love how fast everyone works I was there today for a sore throat and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Before I was in and out within an hour can’t beat that around here, you spend more time in a Walmart line. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly, if they can’t answer your question they transfer you to the nurses so you get the right information. All the nurses I met have a wonderful personality (even when they give you a heart attack walking around the corner). Everyone’s great and fun, I think dr ken needs a vacation :).

I have come to the Augusta Urgent care center several times in the past 6 months. Always very professional and courteous. Also a great place for blood draws, mammogram, and bone density exams.

Very welcoming staff. Extremely urgent & prepared. The nurse was very friendly and informative as well as the MD. Got the care I needed and will be using them again in the future.

Went in today and my doctor seemed like she couldn't give a crap about why I was there. Gave me some stupid advice I could have done on my own then sent me out the door! Biggest waste of my time, money, and energy setting foot in this sad excuse of a doctors office. All i learned from my visit today is as long as yall get your paychecks you could care less if you actually help your patients or not.

We saw the female PA today and will politely decline to be seen by her in the future. Apparently she knew what it was before she entered the room, because there was NO getting around her insistence that the teenager has the flu. That's not what we described to her at all (not describing what why we went for child's privacy). "Did [child] get a flu shot this year?" "No, our family just never started getting them when they came out... So... where was I...Monday night, out of nowher--" "Are other students at school sick?" SERIOUSLY?? No matter what we did to try to describe what the teenager is experiencing, the presence of the underlying disease, state the reason we came to urgent care instead of the doctor who follows the teenager for disease, she WOULD NOT LISTEN and kept directing the conversation back to the flu. The episode, save ONE symptom, last a matter of hours...who gets over the flu in a matter of hours?? From the moment she came in she was incredibly rude, dismissive, abrasive, and made us feel ridiculous for our concern. Dr. Root however, WAS wonderful. He listened, was concerned, asked questions RELATED to what we described as the problem, and reassured us that we can wait until the regular doctor is back in town unless X or Y or Z happens. I learned what a true crisis with this disease will look like (This is the first time we've experienced more than they day-to-day effects). Thank you, Dr. Root. Medical professionals, like all the rest of us, need to remember to listen FIRST and foremost. She could have just as easy reassured as harassed us. On the way home I looked at the discharge papers...female PA's diagnosis? "Viral syndrome" (flu).
