This is Aurora Station in Aurora, York, Ontario, 1919. My Grandmother sent this to her parents in England. She had married a Canadian in England. He was born in Simcoe, York, Ontario and, at some point in time, he and his family moved to Aurora which was just 5 minutes walking distance from the station. His name was.William David Ervine Watson and married to Beatrice Violet Shaw from Sheffield, England. She wrote that: "The the train is just like the American trains in the picture palace in Sheffield, England". She points out that the Platform is level with the tracks. I was surprised how the station today can still be recognised from this picture.

The 65 bus to get downtown sucks... Is always late.... Always.. 4/5 times. The train is fine, but it rarely runs. Pretty much never want to use the go again. Better off using viva and then TTC instead... It's quicker and cheaper. Terrible drivers

I live in Aurora and have been taking GO transit for the past 6 years to get to school downtown. I am giving this review based on recent changes they have made that replaced weekend bus service with train service. That sounds great on paper, doesn't it? Connected city blah blah blah. What no one seems to realize is that for you to take the bus downtown on a Saturday or Sunday takes 35 minutes from Aurora. Taking the train takes 70 minutes. Furthermore, buses used to run every 30 minutes. Now trains run every 90 minutes. Coming back in the evenings on weekends is even better! There is "train traffic" so your previously 35 minute commute becomes 2 hours! Yippe! Also, there are literally NO connecting buses from the GO Station in Aurora on the weekends to other parts of town. So enjoy your $20 cab ride or your hour-long walk in the cold and dark. Seriously disappointed with the direction that this company has taken with regards to raising fares in order to fund weekend train service which, at best, is a PR move. Contrary to what GO transit seems to think, I am not trying to get downtown on the weekends "for concerts and other fun activities". I need service that is timely, reliable and well-connected to other forms of transportation, since I use it for school/work.

If you're ever bored, take a trip on up to Aurora Go Station. In late September, before the fall weather really takes hold? Gorgeous.

NO PARKING! with exception of summer days or holidays. With all these new subdivisions been build, it's going to get worst!
