During the worst of times in my life, when I had so much to worry about, so many responsibilities, it was very comforting to know that someone caring and capable was there. I found them by luck, doing a google search, like you probably just did. When you are faced with so much you need to be able to allow someone to take some things off of your plate and do them for you. My wife and I never had the chance to plan a whole lot for her passing, so having Austin to bounce ideas off of was very comforting. I never felt like this was just a job for them, their caring and empathy was uplifting. When I had forgotten something and they were there to help me, they were on top of things. My wife’s memorial service was beautiful and thoughtfully planned out. I hope I never have to use them again, but if I have to, they will be the ones I call.

When my wife passed our church recommended Austin Funeral & Cremation Services, and I could not have been more pleased with our decision to use Austin.  Carol Austin and her staff were all so attentive to our needs.  You can visit their office, or (if you live near their offices) they can come to your location – every effort is made to make sure the process runs a smoothly as possible.  The costs surrounding a funeral can be quite expensive, but Austin’s fees all seemed very reasonable.  In fact, with the attention to detail and level of service we received, I would have easily paid more and still been equally as satisfied.  

Carol was not able to able to attend the funeral to oversee the duties surrounding the services due to a prior commitment to another service, but her daughter and other staff did an excellent job of maintaining an air of respect and beauty for our heavily attended service.  Carol has a very calming presence which was much needed/appreciated during that difficult period and the days that followed.  It’s a calling to be able to help people through these times, and Carol Austin and Austin Funeral Services did such a wonderful job for our family that I will recommend them with confidence to anyone in need.

Carol Austin and her staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire funeral experience.  My father had not set up anything or left any instructions, but with gentle coaxing, Carol was able to help guide me and my sister through the process.  My father's funeral was a true reflection of his personality when all was said and done.  And that outcome was directly due to the careful ministrations of Ms. Austin and her caring staff. Thank you so much from the McHenry family.

Carol Austin and her team came highly recommended to our family and they did not disappoint!  We are so grateful for Carol and her team's professionalism, competence, kindness and sensitivity during this very difficult time. As most of my family lived out of state, making such arrangements would have been quite difficult for my family. Carol stepped right in, listened to our wishes, facilitated the necessary arrangements and official notifications, and orchestrated a beautiful and intimate service that was the perfect memorial for my mother. Friends and neighbors are still commenting on how special the memorial service was. Appropriate and tasteful attention to detail along with effective and timely communication and follow through throughout the entire process was a great relief to us in our bereavement.  Carol made the unbearable bearable. Thank you!

Austin gave us a well organized and completely supportive experience from the beginning.  We wanted to hold two services in two states at the same time to honor my father.  They managed every detail while always treating us with understanding and respect.  We are forever grateful for their help in making this difficult time for us so much easier and meaningful.
