It's been nothing but disappointment to say the least.  My mother-in-law passed away in July 2017 and her resting place still has no marker (not even a temp plaque).  I was told that the actual marker takes a few months to get but they assured me that a temporary plaque will be available a couple of weeks after burial.   I have called numerous times, and stopped by the funeral homes more than a few times trying to find out when are they going to get the marker order and install.  Each and every time I was told that it will be expedited but so far still nothing.

They did a great job and were very compassionate with my husbands services. I would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone who is looking for a very compassionate and caring staff.

Cook Walden funeral home was an excellent choice that l made. They were very courteous and caring in my time of need. Professional in every aspect. Very sensitive to my needs and took care of everything. My sincere thanks to all the staff. Bottom line my loving husband had a beautiful service.

Our family received excellent care and service from Cook-Walden.  Our funeral director and team were ahead of every detail.  This was a sudden blow to our family, and they handled everything with quiet ease which made our difficult time a little less traumatic for my father, aunts, and the rest of our family.  Zachary was so kind and thoughtful and we will never forget his attention, concern, and professional manner during this event.  He went way above and beyond.  We sincerely appreciate everything.

If there were a way to give no stars I would. 

My husband and I were referred to this funeral home by the hospital that delivered our stillborn infant baby. It was one of the establishments that offered a discount on services for infants. For us it was never about the money, but we figured that if another establishment was going to upcharge us and profit off of our situation, and this Cook-Walden could do it for less, then Cook-Walden must have some morals they uphold. We also figured that since they provided the discount and were referred by the hospital, they must have a good track record. I did read the review before mine, but hoped it was just a fluke ... it was not. 

It was hard enough for my husband and I to leave the hospital with empty arms - leaving the body of our daughter behind at the hospital. The ONLY favor we asked was that we please be notified when the funeral home had received her from the hospital and as soon as we were able to come get her. Is it too much to ask that parents be informed of where their daughter is and when they could bring her ashes home? For this establishment, yes, it is. 

I called 4 or 5 times, each time leaving a message. Not only did no one call back, when I finally insisted on speaking with our coordinator, I was notified that he no longer worked there - he had transferred to a different company in a different city. If I had not forced the issue, I'm not sure they ever would've called to let me know that our daughter had been cremated and was ready to be picked up. 

Of course every excuse on the planet was offered to us when we came in to get her. The fact of the matter is, if you truly care for your loved one and want the best for them, you will go somewhere else.
