Vintage toys, arcade games, and consoles for the kid in all of us to enjoy!
The Austin Toy Museum is a non-profit organization and brain child of Caleb Zammit, a life long toy collector and retired special needs teacher. The museum houses approximately 20,000 different toys and is a safe space for special needs students to develop social and job skills.
Also featured in the museum are a number of classic arcade cabinets as well as video games consoles, such as the classic Nintendo, are available to play. Our ultimate plan to is expand this wing of the museum into it's own entity.
Recently we were awarded a grant by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division and have been able to increase the scope and capacity of the classes we offer, such as silk screening, casting/ toy making, and making replica movie props.
If you're interested we are always needing volunteers to assist with sorting through donations, our extensive back catalog of toys, and daily operations at the museum.
Donations of time, money, and toys are always welcome and appreciated!
