My low back was causing me great discomfort after two total hip replacement surgeries, I could barely walk 2 blocks or sit or stand for any length of time without great discomfort. I walked into Avant PT a broken girl. I worked primarily with Katie. She focused on giving me a highly individualized program. She was very knowledgeable and caring. She also honed in on functional movement for me. She helped heal my back and I could not recommend her highly enough! Also the receptionist is awesome! Avant will help get you back to your life!

I totally recommend Avant Physical Therapy. I had been to a couple therapists in the past to deal with a nagging shoulder issue, but after working with Brenna I can honestly say that my shoulder has never felt better. Brenna was very educational about what I needed to do and gave me all the tips and tools to maintain the strength that I gained. She was easy to talk to and went out of her way to try to make this recurring problem go away.

Casey also was great with scheduling and was always a joy to talk to.

Avant is very conveniently located in Belltown / Lower Queen Anne.

Yesterday I crossed the finish line of the BC Bike Race, a seven stage mountain bike race covering 200 miles of aggressive British Columbia single track.  It is hard to believe that only 6 weeks ago I was convinced that my season had ended prematurely due to a back injury resulting from overtraining.  Brenna Murray diagnosed my injury quickly and worked with me over the course of several weeks.  Not only did she help completely resolve my back problem.  She taught me how to increase my overall flexibility tremendously, resulting in greater comfort, better endurance in the saddle AND a four hour (plus) improvement in my finish time when compared to my performance in the same event 2 years ago!  I can't say enough about how awesome Brenna, Laura and the rest of the Avant team are at what they do!  Thank you ALL for getting me back on track and helping me achieve my athletic (and life) goals!

Patient of hers for multiple years - highly recommended!  I have been a patient of Laura's since before she opened her own practice at Avant.  She has been an incredible help in helping me rehab my knee following an ACL & meniscus injury.  She not only addressed specific issues with my knee but also corrected the mechanics of my stride so that I am less prone to injury in the future.  I continue to practice the exercises she taught me and my overall physical health has benefited greatly from her expertise.

I love this clinic, but especially love Laura!! If you're looking for someone who is so knowledgeable, personable and energetic, you MUST go to Avant! 

I started seeing Laura when I had fully torn my ACL and partially tore my meniscus. I did pre-hab with her to ensure that the muscles around my knee were as strong as possible for surgery (I opted for the hamstring graft). Post surgery, I immediately started seeing her again as soon as I was cleared by my surgeon (5 days post-op)! She challenged me and my body with exercises that worked so well in building up my strength and mobility again. She's pretty much a magician! At my four week post-op appointment, my surgeon told me my progress was at the 8 week mark! At my 8 week post-op, I was at the 12-14 mark and so on... my surgeon was impressed and so was I!! Co-workers, friends and family, were all shocked that I was as mobile as I was so soon after surgery! I have Laura (and my amazing surgeon - Dr. Wahl at OPA Ortho) to thank for it!!! 

I HIGHLY recommend going to Avant for any physical therapy needs! The clinic is beautiful, in a great location, has friendly staff and I have to say that I'm kind of sad that I've been discharged from PT! Haha
