I must say my most recent visits have no been bad at all, I think people should have a better understanding of the people who are trying to assist you. The customers come in there with attitudes, not all but some even maybe majority. The workers in any social service office always have their hair up because of the people who walk thru the doors. I sit there quietly I listen to what I'm told, every single time I'm in the office someone catches an attitude with a worker or even the security guard. One time I was on there and someone said "I'm gonna blow this place up" to my surprise the security office carried himself very well.. Walked her out not even forced her out, I guess it is typical day to day for him to hear people mouth off. At the end of the day you have to prepare yourself to bite your tongue, do you want the assistance or not? They are here to help period... Unfortunately I have had issues... My case was closed more then once because the paper work wasn't properly handled. I have always received the closure letter couple days before food stamp re issue date. Last time I had to wait 30 days before I got any food stamps (totally 60 day waiting period). It's unfortunate they don't care about the people they serve. What do you do if you received a letter on 6/7/16 stating your account is being closed on 5/31/2016, the letter is dated 5/31/16. Here I am waiting for 6/10 reissueing date and my account was closed on 5/31. People who get into social service do it because they love to help people. But not this office they just want a pay check. #Thetruth

This was as low as i could go. Why is the goverment paying for phone service at dss if you can't call. Why does every letter you teceive say if you have question call then the message says call customer service who intern tells you they will send a message and someone will call you back in 48 hours. Well it's been 30 days. And the customer constituency is a joke i talked to 2 different people who assured me someone would contact me no call. We are 25 days out from that correspondence. By the way did i mention that i as disabled person was tild if i wanted to get to the bottom of it i should go to my district office which would require me to walk almost a mile going and then almost a mile coming back.

It has been an help to my Life entirely. When I was legally laid-off. Which was not of my fault. Since June "2009". As an legal tax paying citizen. I highly recommended for ones that are trying to get back on their feet til they find the jobs that will guarantee them full time with benefits. Yet this is for the ones that can't do no better. And why so discriminatory to ones that pay their taxes and formerly worked. And the ones that never have worked getting treated as 1st class citizens. And Us as 3rd to 5th class citizens that you give unjustified disrespectful to. You as the staffs of Social Services need to have monthly classes into how you treat customers in general. Any staff sould be very much reprimanded so Enough said. And I understand about the taxes and as an former voter of my rights. Of paying taxes for that also. I've worked hard as other taxpaying workers as well.👸👼🌏🌎🌍🌈❤😡😡😡😡

There are not enough words in the English language to describe the ineptitude, rudeness and downright uselessness of this office. They lie, and do not do the minimal amount of tasks.
