Awful experience. My female dog became very sick and vomiting blood next day after the spaying surgery they did on her, and they refused to see her, motivating that 'next available appointment is next week'. I had to take the dog to ER. They charged about thousand backs for it, and said that the tube that was inserted during the surgery damaged the esophagus.

Customer for 2+ years. Never returning again! Short version: 2/3rds of the employees are straight up rude and unfriendly on the phone and droll in person. It's clear most of the employees hate working there, so I will not be going back and I will encourage everyone I know to avoid this company. Long version: I get there to pick up my cat, Pearl. Employee: "Pearl needs to take a sedative " Me: "We gave her the sedative like you told us" to which he puffed up and lower his voice to say "well it's first come first serve." Me: "We dropped her off at 7am, what time did you see her?" Employee: "10am". Moment of silence as I just looked at him. Employee: "In that time the sedative may have worn off" he went to the back to talk to the doctor. While he was gone, the one polite employee mentioned that Pearl was "completely stoned and easy to handle" when I dropped to her off. The other employee came back, looking aggravated he starting talking about how "surgeries come first... and then went into 2 minute litany of all the things that are required for surgery... I don't why? but I guess he thought it could distract from the fact he just scolded me with 1st come 1st serve BS. He ended the distraction by saying we need to either induce a coma or schedule such that we would be present during the whole visit in the future. I nodded through the BS because I knew my cat had come down off of kitty xanax in a foreign cage with a bunch of strangers poking at her and getting in an argument would have made things worth with this shameless company. Then he got sassy and said "You're gonna have to get her from the back because we can't." So I went back there and after about minute of trying to get my cat, who was in the middle of a complete psychotic break, the doctor taps on the glass of the door and says with a rye smile "I'll get it." I was like "Huh?" To which he replied with an eye roll "We're in a state where if you get bit it's our fault." He came in the room. I exited and watched him put on giant safety gloves, which they did not offer to me! It would have been nice to know about considering I was now bleeding from scratches from my own cat, who has never drawn blood from me until now. The three employees in the back (Dr. & 2 assistants I believe) were very condescending and failed to recognize that we did everything they told us to do and then they acted like the problems were our fault. Very disrespectful to humans and animals alike, so I must commend their consistency. 1 star!

I've been a loyal customer for over 12 years but in the last 1-2 years, I mostly have been increasing fustrated by the service and overcrowding at this Banfield. Most recently, I called about trying to get an appointment asap and they couldn't accommodate until Wednesday (5 days later) for a non drop off appointment. What was most concerning is the front staff didn't even attempt to at least assess his condition for care while the next Banfield did do this. I think after this visit I won't be going to this Banfield anymore

Overall, I am not impressed with this Bandfield at all BUT... Dr. Cole is amazing. She gets ALL the stars. About this time last year Lily was extremely sick. The "other" vet at Banfield missed her diagnosis, Triangle Emergency Vets missed her diagnosis... Dr. Cole knew immediately (from symptoms and blood tests) that is was most likely a rare condition called lymphangeictasia and we were sent to NC State Vet Hospital where Lily spent a grueling 4 days in the hospital getting tons of tests to verify that this was the condition she had, and to intervene to help her. Without Dr. Cole, Lily may have died. Many dogs suffer and die because this condition is so uncommon and requires the right type of care. Most people, even in veterinary circles, seem to be unclear on what it is or may not have heard of it. Even with intervention it is difficult to treat until you find the right food. Lily is finally off of immunosuppressants and steroids and is doing great with her one food that she is allowed to eat for life. Lily is my world and Dr. Cole saved her life. In my book she is a hero and absolutely the best Veterinarian on the planet. But, Banfield in general is kind of terrible.

I would give zero stars if possible. The vert tech that I spoke with was the most unprofessional, rude and ignorant person I've ever dealt with. He clearly did not care about my dog. He couldn't read my dog's chart. He was condescending and when I asked for help/further explanation/alternatives, he became increasingly rude and insolent. I have a Wellness plan purchased through Banfield and they managed to screw it up. Services requested were not provided. I was overcharged, which wouldn't have mattered much to me if I felt my dog was receiving care and treatment, but he wasn't. Stay away. Your pet deserves infinitely better.
