I've never had a bad experience with Banfield Pet Hospital. I did enroll in the wellness plan for my dog, but she is blind and has had many different problems throughout her life. Not having to pay for each visit plus receiving blood work, fecal testing, teeth cleaning, vaccinations, and a discount on meds was a life saver for me. But after spending roughly 5,000 dollars on her (most of it at Blue Pearl not Banfield), it saves me a TON to pay $40 a month. If you have a healthy puppy it may not be the best option but for a sick pet owner I think it's wonderful.

OMG!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!! My 10.5 year old red Doberman was in the clinic for his shots and wellness check and he was ATTACKED BY ANOTHER DOG!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? There was a 135 pound dog in the main treatment area and knock one person over and then threw another up against the wall and went after my dog (so the vet said). What would have happened if this 135 pound would have gotten out into Petsmart and attacked a child??????? I do not understand how my dog and this other dog even had the chance to come in contact with each other in the first place. So basically what I got from the phone call I just had was.. the two people working there cannot control some of the animals that come there for services. unreal. Never again will I ever step foot in Petsmart or Banfield Pet Hospital... never... lol and this is making give them 1 star to post this review... I don't get them any stars

WORST HOSPITAL TO TAKE YOUR PETS TO! Our Puppy has received shots on Friday the 29th of July and was ok when we got home until later that night he presented symptoms (loose stool, vomiting) we called the emergency you number Saturday morning and they stated it was normal because of the shots he had received. On Monday August 1st he became worst and worst I called and was able to get him inn.. before even examining him well they asked for payment when I asked if they could bill us doctor walked out the room and left the nurse.. we were able to come up with the money and they performed x-rays and supposly blood work for everything the doctor stated our Puppy had something stuck in his intestines and wouldn't live more than 12 hrs if he didn't get surgery and continously said in front of my 3 year old for us to put him down since we didn't have the money! 😔 We refused to let him go like that.. we seeked a second opinion and benfield sent over the wrong x-rays and so the new vet tested him all over again and turns out he DOESN'T HAVE anything stuck he tested positive for PARVO! Now our Puppy is fighting for his life and could have received the care he needed asap if Bendfield would of tested him for everything like they said they did instead of worrying about the money..! They made us seem like we didn't care enough about him because we didn't have 2,200 right there for his surgery and even if we did she stated they couldn't do it until the next 2 days because she was busy..!! I have called corporate but no one seems to care and wants $286 for them to take our Puppy off their plan! If our dog tested positive for parvo and they left home after we walked out who cleaned the clinic or the room he was inn?? I wouldn't be surprised if another dog became sick too!

Our furbaby Bella has been a patient at Saginaw Banfield's since she was 10 weeks old. We have always been treated very well there. Our biggest complaint was the high turn over in staffing. I am an extremely over protective parent, as is her father also. I ask questions , I do research. We do any and everything we possibly can so that Bella is healthy and happy and spoiled rotten. That's just the way it is! She is our only child and it is very well known. Over the years of going to Banfield's (6 years) there has been more than 1 Vet. Working in the office. However, because I am SO picky , when another new Vet. Came in we would always give them a chance because even though Bella has ALWAYS been treated wonderfully , We just had not come across a vet. That I was 100% about . Don't get me wrong , everyone has always been wonderful. But I just knew what I was looking for in a Vet. And up until about 3 months ago I had started losing faith that we would ever find the right match for us. I mean there is ONLY 1 groomer that is allow to groom her and she transferred to Mt. Pleasant Pet Smart. So her vet is in Saginaw, her groomer is Mt. Pleasant and we live in midland. Now, I only say all this because we truly love Banfield's and We are Extremely happy that Dr.Brown is with Banfield's of Saginaw now and is fairly new to the system. However, we have finally found our fit and that's that. Bella isn't to see anyone other than Dr.Brown unless it an emergency situation only. Our baby Bella just turned 6 years old in April and Dr. Brown has gone above and Beyond to show us that she truly understands what Bella means to us and we feel very grateful of the timing that she became Bella's doctor because out of the clear blue sky while Bella was in to have a dental cleaning , it just so happens that her lab work came back in very poor condition. Up to this point in her life she's been in perfect health other then being diagnosed with seizures about a year and a half ago. VERY VERY long story short the last 4-6 months have been total hell trying to pin point what was going on with our little girl. We are talking many trips to see Dr.Brown and even 2 trips to MSU for more testing. Throughout all of this has been going on for the past 4 to 6 months Dr. Brown has always kept in touch with me and informed me of what our next plans were as well as asking what we wanted and working around that. It is very difficult to find someone that you feel like you could trust 100%. Dr.Brown will be Bella's Doctor until ...... 😢 well until Bella no longer has a need for a doctor. I say this because if Dr. Brown leaves Banfield's and is still practicing but just at a different facility. We will go where she is (obviously if it's still in the state of Michigan) . Front staff even though there has been a lot of turn over in the past 6 years of us going there , they have ALWAYS been kind and caring. They also do a wonderful job dealing with me because it's NOT an easy task! I have always joked with them and the groomer that in her account I am 100% ok with putting a note to warn staffers if they don't know me, I just tell them put a huge red sticker on her file that states Mother is crazy and super protective. Now Bella's daddy, he's the quite one. But trust me do not mess with his little girl. All in All we really love Banfield's . We do wish that they had more locations. If you are looking for a wonderful hard working Doctor for your furbaby.... Dr.Brown is who I would see. Like I said before Bella will go where Dr.Brown goes and if that means driving a few hours...well.... That's just the kind of parents we are! 🙂 Bella comes first always. A beautiful ,funny and tons of personality all squeezed into a 9 1/2- 10lb shih tzu. Our pride and joy!!! As a matter of fact we get to see Dr.Brown either tonight or tomorrow for another blood test. So Bella will be excited to go for a ride to the doctor and than yes after her appt. Bella gets to go pick out new healthy treats or normally just another toy to add to her pile to play with...😂
