If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had the misfortune of dealing with this branch when I went to pay off my auto-loan. I had spoken to Bank of America's loan department and confirmed that branch offices could accept loan pay offs. I had refinanced my loan via PenFed and they had made out a cheque in the name of Bank of America and myself. Bank of America's auto loan department had verbally confirmed that the cheque was good as long as I signed the back of it. At the branch's counter, I was "greeted" by teller L. Kitchens. She seemed to be in a hurry and appeared bewildered. When I presented her the "pay-off" cheque, she refused to accept it, claiming that it had to be made only in Bank of America's name. Ms. Kitchens claimed that she checked this with the branch manager as well. She then refused to answer my questions, refused to hear what I had to say and asked the next person in line to come to the counter while I was still standing there. It appeared that Ms. Kitchens had difficulty understanding plain English, or did not want to understand what I was saying, because her responses were not adequate for the context. I took my cheque and called Bank of America's loan department from the waiting area. The associate on the phone assured me that I could use the cheque, which was in mine and Bank of America's name, to pay off the auto-loan at the branch. He advised me to speak to the branch's manager and ask her to call the auto-loan department. The branch manager, Carmen, did call Bank of America's loan department and confirmed that the cheque was acceptable. I had already signed the back of the cheque under my name and it only needed signature of a Bank of America's representative. After spending much time on the phone with the auto loan department, Carmen advised me to take the cheque back to the counter where it will be accepted. I walked back to the line and waited for my turn to go to the counter a second time. I then dealt with a different bank teller and she again went to confirm with the branch's manager that the cheque was acceptable. To give the reader a better picture, the two bank tellers (Ms. Kitchens and this new one) and the manager were all in the same room. Finally, after much adieu, my cheque was accepted. Needless to say, I have never met with such incompetence at a financial institution as I suffered at the hands of L. Kitchens. The manager and the other teller were at least somewhat courteous. On account of this experience, I'm closing my accounts with Bank of America and taking my business elsewhere.
