Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Bolingbrook? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get great drinks, scratch food, awesome music, and the best service was something special. We create every Bar Louie with all of that in mind. It might not seem like an easy task, but we want to make sure you have a great time, any time you decide to come in. We could make it easier on ourselves, but we live for the quality and uniqueness of what we create. From our handcrafted everything bar, to our scratch everything kitchen, it's in our DNA to be the best. We're at our best when you're having a great time. It may not be normal and it certainly isn't ordinary, but we believe you deserve more than ordinary. If you're not a regular yet... You will be.

It's a cool place to go but the bar top is too high or the bar chairs are too low. I'm about 6' tall, and I feel uncomfortable sitting there for a drink or to eat. The staff is very friendly. Except for Happy Hour the prices are high.

This Louie's is a good spot. I can't tolerate extreme noise, but it's rarely too loud here despite being busy. The service is usually good, although the wait staff have been *ridiculously* inattentive a few times. Make sure to go on Wednesdays for half-off (~$5) martinis. (Nobody - and I do mean *nobody* - makes a Lemon Drop like Bar Louie. I wouldn't sell my soul for any drink - but I might well rent it out for a bit for that one!)

Building is real nice. Food was pretty good only had an appetizer. Server was probably new so explains why her timing was off on everything and disappeared at times even though it was not busy. Has huge outside seating area. 2 drinks and an appetizer was $40 though. Not good value at all.

What a classless establishment. My best friend got married on Saturday and we attempted to go to Bar Louie after the reception with the entire wedding party. However, the bouncers decided that they were going to refuse service to us. Not because we were too intoxicated or any other understandable reason, but because they would not accept my valid form of identification. I had to get a new license a few days prior and was issued a temporary license by the Illinois Secretary of State driver's facility. The bouncer decided that he would not accept it as a valid form of identification even after I explained that this is what the driver's facility gave me. According to the Illinois Secretary of State driver's facility: "Beginning in July 2016, you will no longer be issued a new permanent driver's license, commercial driver's license (CDL), state identification card or Commercial Learner's permit (CLP) at the end of the application process for any card type: original (initial or renewal), duplicate, or corrected. Instead you will leave the facility with a temporary secure paper document called a Temporary Driver's License (DL/CDL), Temporary State Identification (ID) Card or Temporary CLP. This document will: - be valid for 90 days - serve as your driver's license/learner's permit for driving purposes if application for Temporary DL or Temporary CLP - serve as proof of identification for Temporary DL/CDL or Temporary State ID contain a photo and the basic information that appears on the permanent DL/CDL, State ID or CLP - can be duplicated at a Secretary of State facility for the appropriate fee, if lost or stolen I guess the moral of the story is that, Bar Louie makes their own rules.

It's a bar. And one of the only places open once the promenade turns into a ghost town at night. Sure it's gonna get crowded and service gets slow, it's a bar. A good one at that. Plenty of parking and usually a smile in the bartenders face. Made my night a bit better.
