Great team of hygienists and dentists that are friendly and honest.. We genuinely enjoy our visits. Fair pricing and massage chairs are an added benefits to choosing them. If you are looking for a dentist in the Peterborough, Hillsborough, Henniker area I highly recommend trying Bara Dental.

OMG, a Dentist who doesn't SUCK!!! A VERY unique experience for me. Take one: The intake survey appointment : Ok.. Its normal for the dental hygienist to wear a paper surgical mask and glasses... I have never had a hygienist put dark glasses on ME before turning on the over-face-torture-light. Everything was gentle, polite, and computerized, and the monitor was right where I could see and discuss all the pictures and xrays with them and ask questions. Questions were Welcomed! After the initial investigative survey, we sat down and discussed a "treatment plan" like adults. I was given input on this! I was told what the costs would be, what my insurance would cover, and what the cost to me would be for every step in this plan. My convenience, health and budget were all considered when scheduling future appointments to act on this plan. Good Person-centered Service! I am however very glad that I am not in Serious Pain at the moment, because my appointments for dealing with the most serious issues are nearly a month out. But having a booked up in advance schedule is an issue I have seen with most docs and dentists in our area. I am told it is important, to cut downtime and use resources to their best and fullest advantage, and make costs lower, and the costs did seem very reasonable. EDIT:Take two. Back again after a drill and fill, and an difficult extraction. Still loving this dentist and his practice. The drill and fill was dicey, as the cavity was deep and the potential for root canal and other more serious issues was high. It was calmly, and deliberately done with attention to detail. NO Pain, No fear, minimal discomfort. And so far it looks like a win with only the simple drill and fill, and the work was aesthetically lovely as well. I was put on antibiotics at this appointment to alleviate pain in the other tooth that would be extracted in a matter of days, and to ensure good anesthetic and healing in THAT procedure. The extraction: I have splayed and hooky roots that make extraction difficult and often with lots of stress and collateral damage. Again. NO PAIN, (I was numb up to my eyelids for several hours after.) and No Fear. It was slow, deliberate work with primary concern to limiting stress and collateral damage to my jaw and gums during the procedure and after. Fear was alleviated with LOTS of verbal updates on how things would be done, and how they were going as we went along, interspersed with funny stories and distraction and a calm, cheerful attitude and humor. The cost to me was slightly higher due to the difficulty of the procedure and the amount of time and care taken in completion.

My best friend had a big problem with her tooth and she was in a lot of pain due to it and turned out it was a broken cracked tooth. She couldn't even eat or drink. Being disabled, she had no where to go by herself and decided to go to Bara Dental in town since it was close to where she was living at. They refused to treat her saying she was not a patient there. Said she has to wait until December to register as a new patient. They would not take care of an emergency since they said they had a full schedule. Please. A good doctor would make room for an emergency especially this is a small town. Why would a dentist turn away a possible patient when this person is disabled and can't go out of town to get this fixed? This person couldn't eat or sleep due to the pain. If you are in need of a dentist, don't go there.
