I really wished I liked this place. It's open deck rooftop area makes this particularly attractive to come hang out and have a beer. Overall though, you're paying for the experience because the prices are pretty steep for upscale bar food. The last time I was there, the beer selection was a bit light on the IPAs and pretty pricey. The service was also spotty. It took about 15 minutes before one of the many servers walking by finally acknowledged we were there. I think the system must be based on claiming tables. Anyway, I don't think I'd go back... but I think this place is probably great for others.

We're from Chicago, places like this are in almost every town. It's been tough to find cool spots like Barleygarden since we've been in Georgia. I love the selection of beers, the food is good and the atmosphere is great. It's definitely casual, with an awesome staff. Plus, being in the Avalon, you can grab beers or cocktails to go. Love it.

Love the weekly beer selection. Love the location. Roof top and patio seating options. Food is solid. O and prices... On point! Our new weekly spot!

Great service from Jamie and Dusty at the rooftop bar. Excellent beer selection, they made great recommendations, and the hummus appetizer was lovely. Overall, wonderful vibe. Barleygarden is our new favorite spot to visit in Avalon!
