I usually take forever to decide on a book which can be fun but also time consuming. They had a great "staff picks" shelf, "best-selling paperbacks" shelf, and "new author" shelf. I was able to find a book quickly and something I usually won't have found on my own. I'm plowing through the book, love it!

My suggestion: go the other way.
This place used to be a cooler spot.  
I was a customer (before last weekend) for 15 years.
That is no more.
My treatment at this store recently could not have been more unprofessional and thoroughly unacceptable. This included me walking in a fantastic mood after an awesome him, and then being harrassed by Gene, who  essentially continued to state I was mistaken, (or lying) (and since another employee took responsibility concerning the info Id been given). Gene is a man who should not have a job there because he knows nothing of professionalism, and then come to find out, they are "in between" management...(Its truly no wonder!) 

What happened to genuine customer service? You wont find it here.
I went instead to the cool, LOCAL bookstore down the road. Its where youll find the humanyo human personal and professional business.

Loved visiting and looking at all the books I would love to buy as well as a cute café inside. I could spend hours in here and wish we had one locally.

If I knew I would not spend $100 every visit, I would stop by weekly. I could easily spend an hour or two in this store.

B & N is normally a great place to visit..But... This store caters to the employees, including distinct management... I say this in reference to the collectables released exclusively at B & N. From what I and others have been told, employees are NOT supposed to hide/stash exclusive product TO BUY LATER, and the consumer has first come first serve. Unfourtunately no one can follow that it seems, as I was in line for a particular piece, 4th in line, B & N said they had 24 pieces...even at 3 per person before me, I should have been able to get at least one, but... I reach the counter and there are none left...?? And I see 4 of the same item being carted off, asked if I could purchase one, and was told a flat "NO, these are being held for the district manager"... needless to say, I don't shop much there anymore... may be when the customer comes first, but thats unlikely to happen!
