Helpful, informative, polite... Not sure who these other patrons met with, but- you know what- I bet they were rude to the court office and staff. Because, I've dealt with them on several occasions, in spite of my ignorance- they took the time to walk me through the process... VERY helpful. I got a ticket, it was hassle, they always are. . It's a deterrent to future law breaking! I for one will make sure my tags are good for the rest of my driving life. That being said, the staff here made a confusing situation clear, and I thank them !

Got a ticket headed back to 'Los Angeles' from Nevada, rolled downhill 90mph only to receive a ticket going the same speed as everyone else. PAID my ticket online, you don't have to show up to court to pay for SPEEDING TICKET, just have to take some action before your court date (a response). I hate court.

They act like they have something better to do, yes, no answers, don't know a lot, and try to get you off the phone and hung up on me plenty times 😡

Barstow judicial system is full of greedy unfair snakes. We got a ticket for "apparently" rolling a stop sign in another city an hour from Barstow. Me and my wife had noticed at this four way stop that there were three police cars with people pulled over.The cop pulls us over and says they are running a program for the holidays where they are cracking down on people rolling stop signs!!!what a joke. We believed we fully stopped because we aware of the police activity well before reaching the stop sign. How could we not??super hero crime fighting high desert hero cops at work. So we get a ticket. Appear in court in Barstow an hour away and aren't on the list. We are told to sit and wait ,it was probably an error. Two hours later,they never called us up. So we have to reschedule for four weeks later. Make another hour drive to ATLEAST trying and get this $237 ticket reduced. Money is tight for a lot of people. Us included. The judge was very kind to the prior people even tho a few were drug possession charges that were excused with community service..me and my wife have no past record and my wife is the sweetest polite lady I know. As soon as my wife's name is called by judge "James R Baxter" he ASSUMES my wife didn't show up to court the first time (THEIR ERROR). And proceeds to be VERY rude to her. Ofcourse the crooked cop was there relaxing in a chair collecting money by the hour. She asked for a reduced fine(knowing she had to plea guilty -because as you know -you are guilty until proven innocent in California and Barstow.)so he reduces the fine from 237 to 200 and demands that payment be made in an hour!!!who does that? I will do all in my power to encourage people(I know a lot in Barstow)to vote this judge out of office. Sincerely frustrated and pissed off!! After two wasted days ,time and gas we should have just paid the full amount and saved some money. MAKE SURE TO VOTE THIS JUDGE OUT..

The Court House is a total mess. The court system is supposed to be a place where one can go and get some justice. instead what they have done is make it impossible to do so. The Barstow court house might as well be in Cuba as it would be easier to get there. the system is inefficient, under staffed, the presiding Commissioner has no clue, over taxed with cases making decisions that are totally in error because he does not have enough time to hear everything properly. They FORCE mediation which is a complete joke. moe that 30 mediation cases for one mediator who again has no clue. basically, a simple case takes a whole day and they threaten that you might have to come back again as they might not get done with all the cases. seriously.. I started driving at 5 am to get to the court by 8 am. Sat there all day for the case to be called 3:45 and drove back 3 hours. All this so the County can save a few bucks with total disregard for the people they are supposed to serve.
