Basha's is such a convenient place for me go if I need to run in for a few quick items. The lines are never too long and if so there's always the self check out lanes. They serve a great lunch too! I like to get their fried chicken, mac & cheese, and YUMMY potato wedges.. and enjoy it on their outside dining patio with beautiful mountain views. I almost can't resist myself if I'm there on an empty stomach at lunch time. They also serve hot dinner items.

I love the store since the remodel. It was always nice to go there because of Tom and Jim and the rest of the great staff, but the remodel brought the character of the store up to the Managers level. Tom has done a great job putting some very nice homey touches on the top of the shelves, etc. I have to say that Tom is a super bright Manager who projects himself down through his staff. Jim in produce is also a wonderful man with a great team. Overall, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else to shop. Congrats to a great team.

It's been remodeled in the last few years. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great deals with Basha's loyalty card. Only problem is people driving the wrong way down the parking aisles. First Wednesday of the month is Senior day. 10% off your entire order.

I have been coming to this Bashas for more than 10 years and have felt very comfortable there.I have become "grocery store friends" with some of the cashiers and employees. One in Particular Jim, who is one the most terrific people that I have met. He is personable, helpful and just a great guy. We have become pals over the past several years, sharing family stories and more. But no further than the store. In the past year I sold my home close by and do not get to the store much. When I am around there I make it a point to shop there to visit with Jim. I did so today. I hate getting additional plastic bags so I grabbed a few from my car, Safeway bags. I only had two of them and went around the store putting items in the bags to make sure I would not need more bags. I spoke with Jim for about 10 mins, catching up. Then went to finish shopping. I got some cheese, parked my cart and went to the bathroom. I realized I needed some tofu and I remembered that I forgot to ask Jim about a truck I was looking at. Jim has a new Toyota that I was considering, he has previously even shown me his truck and features. With that in mind I wanted his opinion on a used Toyota truck on Craig's list. I pushed my cart over to the Produce dept, which he runs, parked by the tofu and looked for Jim. Did not see him and asked "Tom" the manager if he had seen him, no answer, then I started back to the back area and heard Jim being paged. He came out and I told him about the vehicle and was showing it to him on my phone. "Tom" comes toward us pushing a cart and then I realize it is mine. He asks if this is my stuff, "Yes", have you paid for it, "No not yet", then he begins ripping the items out of my two bags and I can see there is a problem. He is obviously irritated and treating me like a criminal. Saying I can not use Safeway bags, "who knew", then it is obvious he is accusing me of shoplifting. He leads the cart with my items toward the cash register and say that it appears he thinks I have done something wrong. He says I saw you try to leave the store twice, and I know what is going on, I have been doing this along time. I am bewildered and follow the cart and then he walks away and ask if I can go through the check out, he says yes. At this point I am angry, I don't want to by anything from this store, and am embarrassed by his actions and not just accusations but conclusions. He has tried and convicted me for the crime of using Safeway bags and not yet paying for the items before leaving the store, which I did not realize was a crime. If so everyone in the store is a criminal. I leave without buying the items and return several hours later fearing that Jim may be in trouble for being seen with an obvious thief, or perhaps indicted by association from, "Tom". He refused to apologize to me and kept repeating that I was obviously guilty and he had witnessed it! I said I hadn't even left the store, which was obvious. I wanted him to give a written apology to Jim so the guy would not think I was some kind of a crook. Tom refused and again played hangman. If this is the store policy, it sucks and ridiculous. In retrospect I can see why a manager would keep an eye on me. But how about pushing the cart up to me asking me if these were my items, and if I had paid for them. I would have said the same, yes and no I had not yet paid. Instead of his Hangman response and actions, simply saying "great it is easy to forget". I would say yes and finish my conversation with Jim and check out, with my Tofu in the cart. If I was a Criminal I would know the gig was up and either pay for the items or put them back or whatever, but not try and steal them. No harm no foul. Instead he has lost a life long customer, I am very embarrassed by his actions and will not go back to visit my friend. I am a "Recovering Attorney" not a shoplifter. Thus, BEWARE DON'T BRING THE OBVIOUS SHOPLIFTING TOOL! A SAFEWAY BAG INTO THIS BASHA'S. PERHAPS BRING A BASHA'S BAG, OR TRADER JOES BAG OR WHOLE FOODS BAG, BUT NOT A BULL'S EYE, THE SAFEWAY BAG!

Great store! Always fresh, clean and friendly. Tom & crew do a great job. They now have Pepperide Farm bread & cookies. Love sitting on the veranda with a Starbucks and enjoying the wonderful view.
