Bayonne Bridge

Story

It's turning into a nice bridge but I'm so tired of not knowing if it's going to be closed or not when I want to go over it. Also the work they are doing right when your getting off the bridge into staten island is ridiculously damaging my car, every other day they are breaking up the roadway with potholes etc..

I made a wrong turn before cruising out of Bayonne, back in March. During the day, when ur lost, all you notice is the high concrete lane barriers. I did NOT even know I was going over the bridge! But the stinkn toll camera, hanging above knew. I have tried to talk about the $15 (for one way) fee with the Toll by Mail ppl for 3 months and they are the WORST (no) CUST SERVICE!! Save yourself the high blood pressure and just pay it! I will NEVER cruise out of Bayonne again & that was 6th and last time!!!!!

Cashless tolling. A new roadway. What’s not to like?

I was there and took the same picture! This old bridge was the longest arch bridge in the world when it was built back in in the late 1920s. I lived just a few miles away in NJ.

They are never going to finish fixing it and it's so annoying that it's closed most of the time. They have been "fixing it" for like 2 years now but there's no major progress given all that time.
