I love Beacon Orthopedic and my team of Dr. Rohmiller and his  PA Charlie, and all their assistants.  Everyone is so caring and want my well being.  Matter of fact already, I have been telling friends and my husband that if anything orthopedic ever happens again we will go right to Beacon and not the hospital or general physician.  The care I have received has been top notch and given me a peace of mind!

It was very scary the thought of having neck surgery but it was necessary due to the numbness in my hand and feet.  Dr. Rohmiller and his staff are the most caring and understanding professionals, compassionate and friendly people that I've encountered.  I definitely recommend him to all my family, friend and co-workers.

Beacon has changed my life; I am so greatful for the care they have given me. The doctors are kind, patient and answer questions, the PT staff are upbeat and make recovery an enjoyable experience.

Just had a PT appointment yesterday. Horrible. I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder from Dr. Hamilton on the Beacon Orthopedic Surgery side  of the building. A new therapist worked on me yesterday, he was chatting office policy and who was there working, etc. with his assistant as he was rotating/moving my shoulder around and determining my range of motion. He did not have any bedside manner at all. "Hi my name is -------. I see your file says you have been here two times before... How have you been doing with those exercises that the other PT gave you? Where does it still hurt?" Nothing like that at all. When I told him that his pressing on my shoulder was very painful he said "well it's painful to you but your range of motion seems pretty good to me." I walked out of there sore yesterday, and last night I woke up in utter pain, went to the bathroom and felt like my acute capsulitis was back again. I don't want to move my arm now. When I do my excercises, I feel a lot more pain and am holding the positions for half the time. I have been icing my shoulder nonstop and taking more anti-inflammatories than I ever did in my last two PT visits with the other therapist, who was great. I feel like I made two steps forward when I went in there yesterday, and today I am back to square one. I don't know who the manager is there but the water cooler talk has to go and if people aren't satisfied with their shifts or who they are working with or how many breaks they didn't take- that should be in a conversation with the office manager, not during my $300+ appointment.

UPDATE*** I've just talked to the office manager/PT and she has started to make me consider coming back. She gave me her personal number and listened to my concerns and will follow up with me when she gets back from her vacation. She gave me advice in the meantime for the excises that I currently have.

I have had both cervical and lumbar fusions by Dr Rohmiller.
He is an excellent surgeon.  He is so skilled.  But also his bedside manner is warm and caring with his patients. He's a very kind person.
