I did not let this man operate on me. I could find nothing that would put my mind at ease to convince me to let him operate on me. I got a second opinion and it matched what I researched and went against what this doctor told me... the material needed and the time frame. However he was right about me needing surgery.

The after hours clinic at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Center misdiagnosed my son's knee injury in November, 2012.  Sent him home on crutches.  Two months later his knee collapsed.  Took him in to see Dr. Bilbo who said he had torn ACL.  He performed surgery, but did not detect a lateral bone contusion festering in his knee from the original injury.  Long story short: 3.5 years and two surgeries later (the second with a different doctor)  with another one scheduled, my son's knee is ruined and he will never be able to run and jump.  18 years old and a bum knee all because Dr. Bilbo's after hours clinic is staffed with ignorant people.  Please, get a second opinion and avoid this practice at all costs.  For them it is about quantity of patients, not quality of care.
