I decided to buy a new suit last Sunday afternoon from Belks.  The selection of womens business suit was abysmal and looked like a closet made for the lovely ladies of "The Golden Girls".  How do you have a Calvin Klein jacket and don't have pants/skirt that match?  They just slapped some black pants next to the jackets and didn't even bother to see if it was the same material.  And three woman stood behind the register staring and gossiping instead of offering any kind of assistance.

Visited Belk for some last minute Christmas shopping. Was in the children's section and one associate was extremely friendly in trying to help me locate something for my son. Once I was done I was ready to check out. There wasn't a line in the children's section and one customer was already checking out. I stood in line and waited. I heard the cashier be extremely friendly with the woman during their transaction and wished her a Merry Christmas when she was done checking her out. She didn't call me up but I approached the counter and laid 2 small items done. The cashier (an older blonde woman) frowned and rolled her eyes. she didn't greet me but grabbed my items and began ringing them up. I asked her if there was a way for her to check for my rewards and she snapped "no." So I grabbed my phone to try to look them up quickly and she just huffed and puffed. . I informed her I couldn't get logged in and proceeded to pay. Once she completed my sale, she handed me my bag. She didn't bother to thank me for shopping with them. Didn't care to wish me a Merry Christmas. There was not a single friendly vibe that came from this woman but more of an tone of "Inconvenience" . She made me want to cancel my Belk card and NEEEEEVVVVERRR come back.

My wife loves Belk and so does our money. She can spend an entire day "browsing" through the store. If she tells me we are going shopping and stopping in Belk's, I do everything I can to find something to do on her honey do list around the house. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy shopping with her, but never a "stop in Belk's".

Somehow it must be easy to shoplift in this mall.  Not me but last week they have finally caught a shoplifter named Brian Fowler shoplifting some underwear.  Unfortunately this is the same person wanted in Fort Mill for shooting a shotgun.  I guess their security needs to tighten a lot when it comes to checking thief’s.
