This belk location is always cluttered and crowded, especially in the clothing departments. They have improved the makeup and fragrance counters, but everywhere else is a crazy house. They just try to put too much in one area. They have good sales but to me it's not worth the clutter. The upstairs home department is their saving grace, it awesome. EDIT: I still stand by how cluttered it is, but they do have amazing sales and I can find great pieces at a really low price. I would change my opinion and say it is worth it, if you have time to dig through the amount of stuff there is.

I applied to several positions with this company over the duration of a couple months. Each time I got accepted for a position, they would email me with either same day or next day interview appts. that were automated I assume. Not only is a same day interview not feasible when it's summer time, and adults usually have children, but also good job on making me feel like a human being instead of JUST ANOTHER employee. & Good luck contacting anyone to help you change your interview date. Recently, I spent several hours filling out applications to different positions within Belks AGAIN!!! This time is was an invitation to their job fair. INSULTING. Yes, I want to dress up and spend HOURS in line to hand in the same application and resume that I have filled out dozens of times online, so that you can give the job to "Change too-real Jones" with the misdemeanor, who thought about you guys for the very first time during the fair or 100's of other candidates. How does this apply to customer service? Usually care-less employers, created care-less employees. If they are this awful with the interview/hiring process, I wonder what it's like to actually work there. No wonder the reviews here are so bad, huh?

After being a Belks shopper since JB Whites. I have been a loyal customer to them and cardholder for ten plus years. I paid my bill on time by or before the due date every month. I recently decided to pay my card off. Then I go to use my card today and my account has been closed after 10 plus years of my loyalty. I believe this is bad business without any appreciation of my years of spending my hard earned money with them as a whole. I will not be back to Belks to shop anymore due to the way I was treated. Horrible experience

HORRIBLE!! Every time I come to this store to do a return I am given a hard time, this store is very discriminative . I recently brought a return BACK that was VERIFIED with your receipt look up policy and a manager by the name of, Deitrick, denied the return stating that I needed ID?? This policy is for CREDIT CARDS ONLY NOT DEBIT CARDS,(BUT NO ID IS REQUIRED FOR DEBIT PURCHASES???) as per your policy that is clearly displayed on your registers, all in an effort to deny the return for no VALID reason. It is NEVER hassle free as you so infamously advertise!! I will be making a complaint ! Every time I come here with a return I AM BEING JUDGED and questioned. I WILL BE MAKING A COMPLAINT to EEOC about the discriminatory treatment I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THIS LOCATION. I SEE FROM OTHER REVIEWS HERE THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE!

After asking nicely for an associate to come an maintain the fitting room. I was told that no one probably cleaned it all day and that he would be over there in a few, 30 minutes later he came and removed the coffee cup and that was it. Such a waste of space on the men's side nothing to choose from. The mess as well as unconcerned associate made a rotten experience and reminded me of why we online shop.
