The new Bella Monte offers fresh menus, take-out Pantry & Catering as well as retail wine store with over 300 selections & 16 self-serve tasting stations.

Story

Based on our Italian roots, our menu features wonderful pasta dishes, seafood, chicken, risottos & osso buco. Everything is prepared fresh & a la minute. Our menu changes seasonally, and we work with local purveyors and Italian importers to find the freshest and finest ingredients available.

Very Disappointing lunch! The three of us ordered soup and sandwich. It was 12:15. About 15 minutes later the waitress returned and announced there was no soup. The salad was wilted and had a scant amount of dressing. We ordered more dressing and told our waitress that the salad did not taste good. She mixed up our Prosecco order and brought a different wine. I asked our waitress to light the candle on the table three times and then held my hand up in the air with the unlit candle before she returned to light the candle. The three of us all agreed that we would not return to this restaurant and that made us sad because we are locals and have enjoyed it in the past.

Great food & great atmosphere! Unfortunately, the service was not so great. I fear that our young age caused the server to not take my table seriously, which is extremely disapponting. After being seated I requested a food and drink menu. She proceeded to bring a food and cocktail menu and nothing else. Upon asking for a wine list she replied “well can’t I just tell you it?” And seemed annoyed. She proceeded to question me from there on out. As I showed my server nothing but respect, I wish she had done the same. Overall it was a nice evening, however, the lack of respect for younger (yet respectful) patrons makes me hesitant to visit in the future.

Always good food. Really good service. Owners are usually there to welcome patrons. Great wine selection.

Accompanied by my husband and good friends, we returned to Bella Monte. We went for several years, thoroughly enjoying it; then a change in ownership and the menu turned us away. We kept trying, and have been rewarded. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet warm, the decor tastefully Italian. Charlie on the piano is a welcome presence but not overwhelming. But the food is divine. I had a special, sriped Bass served with Red Pepper Risotto and green (!)and orange baby carrots. The food was very hot, the risotto cream with a subtle heat, the fish moist and delicate. My spouse had shrimp with risotto. It contained several very large shrimp, a slightly spicy Italian sausage. It was served over polenta with a delightfullly creamy and rich sauce. Our companions had chicken scallops Portuguese-chicken Breast, Jumbo Scallops, Italian Sausage, Tomatoes, Sherry Cream Sauce, and Fettuccine- and a Bobby Salad,-basically a mixed green salad with thinly sliced medium rare streak. This with a bottle of 2895 Malbac at $21. Every plate was kicked clean. We declined dessert! An excellent choice for dinner with excellent service but not too doting. Caveat: the menu is being reconfigured for fall. We'll see, because we will be back.
