I saw a nurse practitioner for 15 minutes because I had pink eye and needed an antibiotic. Three months later I was billed $255 for the visit. When I called to ask why, they said the fee is "based on the level of service provided." Lesson learned: ALWAYS ask how much a service will cost, and when they say they don't know, LEAVE.

Best walk in clinic in the berkshires. Nice people, dr was very knowledgeable and gave great references. Only waited for an hour which is awesome in comparison to other walk ins. Won't go anywhere else! Thanks very much for your services

When we arrived it was packed in the waiting room, but apparently that's to be expected from an urgent care facility. That said, the receptionist - whose window I was seated near - has an extremely annoying habit of talking to people like they are babies (you know...that whiny kind of voice) and the number of times she would end a sentence with "ooooookaaaaaaaayyyy?" actually felt unprofessional to me. Regarding both things, it just felt very condescending and insulting. Once we were called back, we were seen by a nurse practitioner. The symptom my partner was there for (large swelling of the elbow) could easily be related to Lyme, yet despite the fact we gave very clear information about the fact that he is currently being treated for it, this did not seem to register with her. We had to repeat our concerns about a connection, until she finally asked why we're concerned about Lyme, asking ""Do you think you have it?" Duh! We TOLD you in writing and several times with our voices that he has it. When the symptom was diagnosed (bursitis), we asked how to deal with it and how long it could last (considering it might be Lyme related, and it might be entirely unrelated). One thing we asked about is the use of cortisone shots if it is persistent. It's not a procedure they do there, which is fine. But the nurse practitioner we saw stated she was unaware of cortisone shots being used for this condition....which is an easily find-able fact on line, an extremely common practice for this condition and one I've had done in the past. So we didn't feel entirely confident about her knowledge. Finally, when she drained the swelling with a needle and syringe, she ended up drawing out blood too. It was clear by the expression on her face that she was surprised by this. After everything was done, at the last minute she ordered an X-ray. We suspect she was concerned about the possibility that she didn't insert the needle entirely correctly and that's what drew the blood...connected to that we think the X-ray was done to confirm that she hadn't done damage. This is not a procedure a nurse should even be doing....even a nurse practitioner. We were there for 2-1/2 hours total. The place is very clean, but the performance of the staff left us feeling a little uncomfortable.
