I was falsely accused of a violent crime this year.
I had never been in trouble with the law before, so this was a very stressful situation for me.
Mr Berns came recommended through a family friend. He helped resolve the issue in a very expeditious manner. His fees were quite reasonable (I consulted other attorneys as well). Most importantly, the professionalism and proficiency he exudes inspired in me a high level of confidence, which helped me get through the ordeal psychologically.
After the case was dismissed, I still had my personal property to recover. Chicago police had seized several firearms and ammunition at the time of my arrest. I didn't think I would ever see these items again, at least not without a lawsuit, but Mr. Berns made this happen as well. Just a few brief hearings, and I found myself at the evidence storage facility with my property in hand.
