This is a gem in Nebraska. This campground has it all, trails, 4 wheel trails and a river to swim in and lots of trees! The sites offer electric no water. The cost is very reasonable and if you have a Senior National Parks pass it's half off! The bathrooms are super clean and have showers in them. This campground is one of the best places we've stayed.

Clean campsites. Hosts, Stan and Rita, were friendly and helpful. Nice shower facilities. Interesting area of NE with variety of activities available. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the train noise.

The staff were very helpful. The restrooms were clean as were the showers. The fishing was very good. Their rates are great. We will be going back! .

The camp grounds are pretty nice, but a couple items to make your stay better. There is a place in Halsey that sells firewood. Use that. The available wood in the forest isn't good for cooking. Or bring plenty of brickettes/charcoal. Also, the main camp isn't far from a very active rail road. Expect to hear coal cars blaring their horns every 15-30 minutes. Those negatives aside the bathrooms and sites were clean and well kept. And there are four showers and drinking water. If you are going for the ATV trails know that there are about 15 miles of trails. They are well kept and fun to ride. The terrain is sandy (it IS the sand hills after all), but paddle tires are not allowed. I can only do three stars due to the train noise.
