FANTASTIC. There’s plenty of fish and turtles that you can catch and the ponds are clean. We camped in the little nook by the swimming pond and it was peaceful. We went kayaking down the river and it was beautiful. Lots of obstacles to go through which made it even better. We caught a turtle named Francis. Def will be visiting Francis again. If you see Francis tell him I said hi. #amazing #livelaughlovinghere!! :
Small by campground standards, remote as in middle of the country type remote. Two small lakes, a small sandy beach and the Loup river. Clean campground and modern facilities as in flushing toilets and a shower all included. Owner swung by a couple times a day just to see if we needed anything. Quiet and dark at night. The frogs sing. Roughly 4 hours from Omaha and it was the perfect weekend trip for us and our grand daughters. Overall great place, owner and facilities. We had a great time enjoying the outdoors and family time. We tent camped but they also have places and hookups for RVs.
Camping here was great, it's a wonderful little secret, no one else was here. We picked a shadowy spot near the swimming pond. Then we spent the day swimming, using the inner tubes, mats, and paddle boats. Later we sat on the porch, took showers and made a little coffee in the kitchen. Over night the stars were spectacular, as were the frog chorus and fireflies. Great spot!
The camping was good but if you want to go canoeing or kayaking, forget it. The river has trees down in it and makes it difficult to get in the river. There is no way to get further up the river. The cost for the canoeing and kayaking is $20, the equipment itself is in good condition. Other than fishing and swimming, there is nothing else to do. Cheryl, the manager, does not get back to you. We will not be returning.
This place is so amazing, because they have a nice pond with lots of fish and turtles. They also have a river to kayak down. So definitely recommended.
We love camping at Hidden Valley. There is a pond right next to swim in and a pond to fish in. Not to mention the river runs right along the campground. Great Place for the whole family!
The fireworks were amazing and set up perfectly right over the lake. Everyone was nice and checked in to make sure you were okay every so often. Pet friendly
This place is one of my favorite places to go camping at, highly recommend it 10/10
