Purchased some monitors online and needed to pick one up in the store. I also made a purchase for a second item in the store. I was greeted immediately and shown right where the product was that I needed. I purchased it within two minutes and remembered I had a pickup at customer service,. so I headed over there. The entire visit had to be less than five minutes from start to finish and this was on a Saturday afternoon. They were so quick and efficient. It was a very easy and pleasant experience all the way around.

Best Buy is a typical big box store. The prices are fair/competitive and if you do your homework they will match other prices. Its convenient if you live nearby, do your homework and know what you want. The employees are mostly generalists and know enough to get by in the various departments but few are specialists and have a real knowledge of the products. This makes good purchasing information beyond the basics hit and miss. The fact they are not on commission is a double edge sword. On one side there is no pressure to buy but on the other the service is mediocre in general. (There are exceptional employees everywhere, they are just the exception here.)

Responding to a Super-Bowl Sunday ad, we went, purchased the item advertised (they only had one and I don't think knew it was being advertised). We ordered an additional item to be shipped, paid the bill and were out the door in ten minutes. That was amazing! Excellent assistant who knew his product!

Anna helped us buy a new washer/dryer. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and non pushy. It was a good experience. Best Buy should include all needed accessories in the sales tag and not have incentives placed on the wrong items! We like the finance options here.

I have tried calling the store various days and hours over the last year for any questions I have. Not once have I ever gotten through to an employee. I have given up around be 30-45 minutes hold time. Every time I’ve mentioned this to a friend, they’ve had the exact same experience. Will not be shopping there again.
