Norvac Electronics is a GREAT place to seek, AND FIND, all sorts of 'Legacy' (meaning 'Old') and current day electronic parts and supplies for just about any electronic repairing, refurbishment, or build. The owners, Jim & Bonnie, are second generation owners from the family which started the company, and they are extremely knowledgeable about all things electronic, as well as really nice to work with. There prices are VERY reasonable, and if you can't find what you need their and then, they can assist you to find what you want elsewhere.

They are located at 2110 Commercial Street NE in Salem. Their hours are:
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm; and,
Saturday's, 10am to 5pm

Absolutely amazing people and kind. The best place to hang out. Great items for cheap prices. Transformers, capacitors, diodes, resistors. Newest material and great staff. Come here anytime!

I have been to Norvac a number of times and have found the knowledge and service of the owners to be excellent!  I am more or less tech challenged and Jim (one of the owners) has always gone above and beyond to fix my little difficulties.  Today (11/3) I handed him a device and he researched it on Google for around 10-15 min until he found just the right solution.  Plus they play cool music and have a cool dog.

I've been going to Norvac since 1996 when I started working at Siltec in Salem. It's the only decent supplier in our area and they do a great job, and usually have what I need. They have always been very helpful, a great resource to have locally.

its ok i guess, 80% of the stuff they sell is like NOS (new old stock) pshh, what? they dont carry standard value components either, every time i go in there for a standard value component, 100 ohm 3 watt resistor, for example they don have it but they can order it, well so can i. most of their stuff is like weird super high value parts for computers etc. 100 meg resistors, 1000000pf caps etc, hmm. they are on the expensive side too for selling such outdated parts. this is my experience in the salem store, never been to the others. on the positive side, they are the only place you can walk into and get an electronic part if youre lucky, here in salem. check em out, you may get lucky
