I have shopped at Best Buy for many years and have watched it slowly go down hill. Older sensible managers have been replaced with young smart a**es. 1 yr - 3mos ago I bought the nicest Samsung television available. ($3999.98) It began turning off and on by itself - every 20 seconds so I went in to see what could be done. I didn't buy Geek Squad warranty, I have an antique television from the 1960's that still works when I turn it on. The manager Austin said Best Buy can't do anything and that he doubted if Samsung would do anything. His tone of voice was as if he thought it was funny that I just got ripped off. I'm easy to please and not surprised by too much these days, but this kid sure did. I told him perhaps I should just buy televisions from Costco and give him a one star review.... he gave me a bobble-head of yeses and more of his goofy smile... here it is Austin... U R bound for greatness. The Google score speaks for itself....

I was pretty sure I wanted to buy one of the HP Spectres. We were immediately greeted by an HP employee who gave us incorrect information, didn't know much about the laptops and tried like crazy to talk us into buying a clearance HP Envy. Finally he flagged down a Best Buy employee to help us who was fantastic. I wish he had been there from the start. The HP guy was more of a hindrance than a help and as it turned out I found out later he was assigned to the printers and that was his area of expertise. I wish he would not have tried to help us with something he didn't know anything about.. I felt very rushed through the whole process but I can't blame them since I went on Black Friday. UPDATE: I have changed my rating from three to two stars since receiving an email from Best Buy. Since the HP Spectre I had tested out and selected turned out to be an out-of-stock model, I was told they could order it for me to pick up in the store in four days (The following Tuesday.) Even though I really needed it right away, I agreed and paid for it along with some accessories. The evening that it should have arrived in the store I received this message: "We're sorry – your ordered item(s) are taking longer to fulfill than we anticipated. Please be assured we'll continue to work on this order, and once the item(s) become available we will let you know. If we are not able to complete your order by December 28, 2017, we will notify you and cancel the item(s). " It went on to give me options such as finding another store that has it (why didn't they do that in the first place?) Or canceling the order. Since I cannot wait another month, I decided to cancel the order via my account on their website but that option was greyed out for me and not available. Now I'm stuck and extremely unhappy. I may have been too generous giving them two 🌟.

I am an elite plus member and the customer service is the worst! This is a testament to the decline in the company. I van only return everything I bought here and never shop at best buy again. I have spent thousand of dollars every year and have never been treated this way and seen a company not stand behind it's products. The 'manager' Austin has no idea how to run a business or understand the value of retaining customers who spend much more than average and have years of loyalty.

Best buy is the only retailer charging a extra $100 for people who want to pay up front for the iPhone x. They are doing this in hopes we will instead sign up for a new contract through them. Good buy for ever Best buy.

I called the store to see if they had a specific TV that I wanted to buy... I could never get a live person on the phone... Got lots of push 1, push 2, etc... Went to Costco and bought the TV.
