Unbelievably horrendous customer service specifically when it comes to requesting a refund or a reshipment for a laptop that was out of stock. I was initially assured by a sales associate that a signature would be required prior to me receiving the item and was told the specific earliest date on which I would receive such item. The item arrived a day earlier than expected and I was not notified about this until after I came home from work. I checked the status of the item and discovered that it was left without a signature obtained. I immediately called this Best Buy store for a refund but was denied due to not having the item. I then spoke to the operations manager in the department and was told the same exact thing. I was even explicitly told to "calm down" after stating how much money was on the line. I had to consult with UPS and USPS and even drive to my local post office to get some evidence of the fact that it was left at my apartment building without a signature obtained before I received the assistance I needed which was not through the operations manager but through a hot-line number provided by this unprofessional supervisor. After 1 call, I was guaranteed reshipment however after 2 days, I discovered that it was out of stock and the second order was canceled without any notification via email or phone. It was only through my due diiligence of consistently checking the status of such order on a daily basis that I saw that it was cancelled and I once again had to make several calls in order to get a refund. Never again.

I recently got a Best Buy Visa credit card and was told that I have 0% interest for the first 12 months. I made purchases that did not come from Best Buy and recently looked at my credit card statement to find out that I got charged interested. Called customer service and was told that since I did not make the purchases from Best Buy I am subject to interest charges. No one ever told me that this would happen when I got the card and what was the purpose of getting a Best Buy Visa Cards if the promotion was only going to qualify for Best Buy purchases. It's what you call switch and bait. I have other cards that I could use that have 0% interest! I would NOT recommend getting a Best Buy Visa card from them and I would NOT recommend purchasing items from a company that does not disclose that type of information up front. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! and I will never use this card EVER AGAIN!!! Once it's paid off... I will close this account! DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT do business with a company that withholds information from the consumer!! BEST BUY does not disclose information to their customers and it is certainly unacceptable. Bait and switch company for sure!

Bought a MacBook pro 15" in 2015 with the $300+ Geek Squad protection. Was told I could get 1 charger replacement and 1 battery replacement with my 3 year coverage. About 1 year in my charger started fraying and I called for a replacement and was told by the Rockford store that they removed the option to replace chargers. Now 6 months later my charger has completely stopped working so I called Rockford store again. Surprisingly I was told I could get my charger replaced. I went in 2 days ago and my charger was assessed and the replacement was ordered. I was told I was receiving the charger today(2 days later). When I called today to check on that, I was told the order auto cancelled an hour after it was made. Now they will place the order again but I won't receive my charger until 7 days from now. Tried asking for the charger to be sent with overnight shipping and I was told that would be checked into but I never received a call back. I had multiple calls with the store today and never received a call back when promised. I had to call back every time. I know what it's like to work retail so I didn't yell or act unreasonable. I just asked for what I needed and worked with each person as they came. Eventually I did get frustrated after dealing with this through 6 phone calls from 10am - 4pm today and asked for a manager. The manager told me they were going to trace back to the person who originally told me I couldn't get a replacement but they were taking care of this by ordering the replacement that I'll receive in 7 days. I asked for a charger to be provided to me in store as a courtesy since this was a mistake their store made and I can't use my laptop for work. I was offered to buy a charger full price and return it once I receive my replacement. This is all very unacceptable and I guess I'll wait for my charger because what else can I do? Bonus story: I got hired by this Rockford Best Buy but for a week I couldn't get ahold of a manager to work out a schedule so I had to quit through the lady who answers the phones.

I was looking for a specific set of headphones. Asked an employee where they were. He showed me exactly where. At the checkout the price was different than online. They honored the online price, no hassle.

Another disappointing experience at best buy. It's like an effort to get me to shop elsewhere despite being so close to my home. Terrible customer service. Pricing is ridiculous. Now I find they charge $8 to put a screen protector on that you will spend $50 on. Nope, I'm gong to the sprint store where they will attach it for free And charge the same price for the item. So I left with $30 Of merchandise instead of the $250 I intended to spend.
