This is a bigger store than their previous location on Mack, so they have way more items now, and more isle space. Layout is nice they've replaced the old Barnes And Noble that used to be there. Nice little produce section though a little pricey, great frozen foods section, nice salad bar, and a sandwich bar if you get hungry while shopping there. They even have a great little eating area, where they often convert to presentations and workshops also. They accept the EBT Bridgecard if you have one, and offer weekly coupons to knock down some of those pricey items. Only issues are the high prices but that's what the coupons are for, and the customer service could be warmer. They are not mean, but no so warm and friendly either.
I ALWAYS have a phenomenal experience from Kira whenever I visit the Deli/Pastry/Grille/Soup/Hot Bar area and today was no exception! I attended a PACKED seminar and decided I would have lunch before the seminar started b/c the Hot Bar items that were being brought out by Darius and Kira were super fresh and smelled divine! It was a Taco Bar w/ground Vegan, Beef and low fat Turkey options and freshly prepared toppings. Also, the hot soup bar and salad bar were fully stocked looked inviting and Darius and Kira were so professional and friendly. During the seminar, Darius prepared additional lunches for our large group while Kira kept the bars clean, hit and stocked. BY THEMSELVES. EVERYTHING went off without a hitch. Once the seminar was over, I had to go a purchase the Broccoli Cheese Soup and it was divine! Thank You Darius and Kira for your professionalism during a super busy, stressful time with this seminar while attending your regular customers as well. I will continue to visit as long as you are there b/c YOU make my visits memorable. I also enjoy this Better Health location for it size and selection of items and most importantly for the Deli/Pastry/Grill.
We were visiting from Phoenix and were happy to find a health store with lots of fresh produce, healthy options and vegan options like our favorite cashew yogurt! The employees were helpful and nice.
I bought snacking cheese from this store on Sunday June 27, I gave my kids some for a snack and we noticed how nasty it was. I looked at the expiration date and it expired in May 2021! Truly disappointed. Not to mention one of the store employees kept following my 15 year old daughter around the store as if she was stealing. She repeatedly singled out my daughter asking her if she needed help when my daughter already told her she did not. I’m never going to this location again.
Just from looking through the reviews I will not come here. Management and ownership only respond to the good reviews. I was taught in school if you are a business owner you should address all reviews due to trying to keep business. I did not step one foot in your store and I will not. Also appears that all your black customers have a problem in your store. Let’s see if you respond
This really is an awful store. The old location was amazing, it was small but so well managed that it had more items like items you go to a health food store for, not just chips and deli stuff. It carried a wide variety of brands and full lines of the brands and unique items. And it was so well managed that they were never out of anything! If they didn’t have something you needed, they would special order it for you. The employees and managers were all so genuinely nice and helpful, and knowledgeable! They were clearly people who themselves personally were into healthy diet and very educated on the products they sold. The produce was always so fresh, too. This location is the opposite. It’s out of things constantly, the produce is a joke in regards to freshness and availability, and they store their extra virgin olive oil right on the very top of the shelf right under a fluorescent light beaming down on it all day which is NOT good for the oil. And while there are some extremely nice people who work here who are very good at their jobs, I have never seen or experienced such rudeness from employees from one single store. Not just me but family. It’s bad. And the employees don’t seem to get in trouble for it, they’ve even had excuses made for them. It’s such a ridiculous place. The old location was not just a better store, it was a DIFFERENT store and I miss it terribly.
I love Better Health! Staff is awesome, very knowledgeable and always willing to go above and beyond to help. Some pricing is higher than comparable items at say, Kroger, but Better Health has some grocery items that you can’t find at a regular grocery store The clean nut milks I use for example. They also do have sales and you can sign up for their loyalty. Also… I know almost all grocery stores do this, but I wish Better Health didn’t… they send out paper ads in the mail. I feel like it’s such a waste of paper and trees and I wish places would just stop this. I still give them 5 stars because the staff here at this location is awesome.
