Story

Our President and Medical Director, Dr. Mohammed Arsiwala, opened the first two Michigan Urgent Care clinics in 1998. As an emergency room and internal medicine physician, Dr. Arsiwala believed that quality health care for illness and injury should be accessible outside of the normal doctor office hours. Since then, the Michigan Urgent Care network of clinics has grown to nine across Southeast Michigan. In 2007, occupational health services were added, which include employer-requested services such as physicals, drug screens, and immunizations, and worker's compensation injury care.

Services include: digital X-ray, high school sports physicals, immunizations, yearly flu shots, rapid flu tests, and Tamiflu. Onsite testing includes flu, mono, strep, pregnancy, and STDs. We are certified DOT medical examiners, and offer full service occupational health services including immunizations, drug screens, work comp injury care, and more.

The moment we walked in the office we were greeted with open arms, and professionalism. Is NOT the typical urgent care, where they rush you in and out the door, and act like you are bothering them. Between the office manager, the doctor assistant and the doctor we had award winning service. My daughter has been suffering from Guttate Psoriasis for the past six months and it was just continuing to get more extreme. I decided instead of continuing on with the specialists to try urgent care. Thank God, I did, because they listened, showed sympathy and best of all treated my daughter. The doctor that had treated my daughter tonight was Dr. Popadiuk and unfortunately I didn't get the other staff member's names because I would love to recognize them too. Thank-you again Grosse Pointe Urgent Care for listening and actually treating my daughter!

Dr. Arsiwala was very attentive and knowledgeable. I received a follow up call the next day which never has happened with any other Urgent care. The staff at this Urgent Care was helpful and efficient. Made the experience of going to Urgent Care pleasant.

I have visited once in each of the last two years and had a great experience each time. This most recent visit was last week with a somewhat complex problem. Each visit I had a thorough exam and was completely satisfied with the clinical assessment and recommended follow-up. I could not recommend them more.

The physician was a joke. If you're looking for a place where they don't take any history, ask about symptoms and do no physical exam this place is for you! Literally, he spent less than a minute with me. Side note: staff and nurses were friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I was in incredible pain and had the worst experience- I left and chose to go somewhere out of network just down the street! When it was time to sign forms before being seen (consent to treatment, etc) I was asked to sign a signature pad without getting any forms. I asked if I could see what I was signing, please. I was told I was signing the signature pad if I wanted to be helped. I asked if I could see what form I was signing. I finally got copies of the forms. When I got them, I asked a question about a portion that said the facility could handle my specimens in any way it seemed fit when done helping me. The person helping said she has no idea why it's there, and I could go elsewhere if I'd like. She said she doesn't know what's on the forms or how to explain them, and that I could sign them as is or not because no one was forcing me to be there. I was in pain...I signed and figured I'd not be giving specimens anyway. She said great, that she's just the front person and it's not her problem. In the meantime, another person entered smelling very much like marijuana, behaving very... High. He interrupted saying he needed a urine test. We were the only two in the waiting room. I was called back, and a person came to me at the entry way with a dixie cup. No exaggeration, a dixie cup. She said I needed to pee in it. No introductions, no discussion of why I was there or my back trauma. I asked why. She said because I have back pain and walked away. I entered the very dirty bathroom, flushed the very used toilet... And stood in pain wondering if I pee in the cup and probably continue this trend of care... Or advocate for myself and walk out. I got a refund of my copay and went up the street. Better to pay out of pocket. I don't leave many reviews. Everyone has an off day. Professionals working in the service of others have a hard time and go unappreciated... But...Don't go here.
