I stopped in pretty close to closing hoping for help with a flat tire. They helped me out right away, and they even walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable with the steps needed to fix a flat. They were patient, super knowledgeable, and made it really easy to jump in as a beginner. I walked out with a working bike and the tools needed to try it on my own. Everyone was very welcoming and I will definitely try to start getting involved with their various community outreach classes. Thank you!

Gotta start by saying that I didn't purchase a bike here because they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but, the experience in this shop was such that I felt guilty of buying my bike elsewhere. Very knowledgable staff. Leaving aside their knowledge, they ride bikes and they are passionate about it. They are not trying to make a sale, they are trying to satisfy the needs of a fellow cyclist and they will plainly tell you "we don't have what you need, you should look for this and this...". They have a lot of accessories and parts. Definitely going to them for services and other purchases.

These are good people. I've been many times, mostly for repairs. They love walk ins (idk if they even take "reservations" - I've never needed to find out) and they are good at what they do. They've been quick about fixing a *badly* bent front tire, and generous with "easy" fixes (my dumb self thought it was as gear issue - it was a squeaky seat, and he diagnosed and tightened it for free). They have a good selection of new bikes and a machine to "fit" you to the right bike for your body. I'm not usually effusive. I trust these people.

I called in to ask something, and the person that took the call seemed to be having a bad day, he sounded very rude and not helpful at all. Never been a this place but this phone call gave me the impression that this is not a welcoming place.

I was reluctant at first to go here to have my bike worked on. But I needed a quick turn around on the bike so I can take it with me on my out of town trip. I went here after reading couple of the reviews. Theo took a looke at my bike and told me what was wrong. The bike needed a new front derailleur. The store did not have the derailleur in stock. Theo suggested that I take it to their K St. store. He however called to find out if they had it in stock and most importantly if they are able to fix it in time for my trip. Now that in my books is excellent customer service. This is in addition to offering to have the parts delivered to his store and have it fixed there. But I took the first option. I have found a new LBS. Thanks Theo.
