A cool place to eat with a really friendly staff. It's a mix of Californian/Hawaiian. Half the menu was slow cooked proteins with rice and the other half is poke. I had the pulled pork and the poke. Both were quite good, but the spice can sneak up on you, if you're not used to spicy foods.

This place is amazing and the people running it are super cool and really into their craft. They are incredibly friendly and really care about delivering quality food and drinks. The Rasta Bowl is so ridiculously good and crazy spicy; I’m addicted. We stop here on every trip to big bear (as many days as we can) and really wish these guys had a spot in LA. My wife loves the Maui bowl (vegetarian) and the kids love their smoothies. It really is a special place and we love it!

This place has an amazing variety food and drink for it California/Hawaii/Jamaican theme. And the service is probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant period.

Michael and the rest of the guys at Big Bear Local are not only delivering one of the best food destinations in the area, but providing the best service in the food industry that I've ever seen. Staff is amazing, food is hot and delicious, and if there is only one place you eat in Big Bear, it better be here. Semper Fidelis Mike!

If you want a truly original experience.  Big Bear local is a definite  spot to try. Although the flavor and name are oxymoronic as island flavor are not local to the mountains which  usually lumberjack cuisine of pancakes and great breakfast/ brunch restaurants is famous in Big Bear. So if you want to sample Cali Island experience. In the mountains this is your spot. Whether its delicious teriyaki chicken or ahi tuna on rice all with fantastic sauces and flavor fusions that will have you return again and again. They include an assortment of fruit blend drinks and  breads that will catch the attention of your taste buds. The cooks and crew are fun and full of energy!
