I use to live in the Big Bear area and I would visit there for a meal 2 or 3 times a month. I have moved away, but always include lunch or dinner there as a part of my Big Bear visit. The same family runs it, only now the children are grown and are serving customers in the same dedicated way as their parents. The food is great, portions are way generous, one never sees the staff standing around gossiping while patrons wait. I will always go there !

Food tasted great, but the server didn't seem interested in caring for us. Took a very long time to get menus, then our drinks, waters and tea. We were there well over an hour before we got our food. (Lots of fun with small hungry kiddos) . I used to work as a server, so I know the difference between being busy, and not wanting to be there. My friend felt strongly it was because we has small children with us. Either way, we felt neglected. For the record,

Love this restaurant! We always eat here on our annual Labor Day weekend trip to Big Bear. Delicious authentic Mexican food. The margarita pitchers are fantastic. Their chips and salsa are addictive! Their prices are also very reasonable.
