This is one of the more upscale restaurants in the Big Bear Lake area. I had my summer birthday dinner here with my family. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. I had the shrimp tempura that came with a sweet Thai chili sauce and fresh carrot cake for dessert. We sat outside on the patio during sunset. We got some good photos of all of us together at the lake. I had a lovely experience with the staff. I would recommend coming here for brunch or an early dinner.

Great DIY bloody mary bar & stellar views of the lake! John the owner was so welcoming, gave us history of the place and had our mouths watering while explaining the dinner menu - can't wait to try the wild game platter. The only place around that serves wild game (elk, duck, venison, wild boar, pheasant ...). Kim the bartender was great too, just try to stump her with trivia or drink recipes...you ain't gonna. Can't wait to come back to Big Bear, and more so The Pines.

The breakfast was not fresh. I love there dinner items but breakfast was nasty. Frozen watermelon and over priced coffee.
