My husband, two kids (9 1/2 and 11), and I stayed for two nights while we were visiting family in Billings, MT. Upon walking into the room we immediately noticed that there were quite a few stains on the carpeting, the TV, cable box, and stand looked as if they hadn't been dusted in over a month. The blow dryer in the bathroom had quite a bit of dust on top, and the shower head looked dirty (see pictures) I was able to take my nail and scratch off the black residue on the shower head very easily, so it wasn't a stain. We did like that there were three night stands one in the middle of the two beds and then one each on the other side of the beds, as well as quite a few outlets to plug in phones and other devices. Breakfast was about what one would expect from a hotel, except that my son was upset that there was not any yogurt either day. The trash can at the door on the non-water park side was overflowing the entire time we were there, eventually trash was piling up around it, I saw several of the staff outside smoking by the trash and no one seemed to notice. Our housekeeper, Craig, also spent a good deal of time complaining in the hallway because people in the room down from us had not checked out and he couldn't clean their room, it was before checkout time, and it struck me as very unprofessional. The first night we checked in and then went to dinner, upon getting back we realized that only one of the key cards had been activated. I went to the front desk, Nathan fixed it, although he didn't ask for the name on the room or ID, so I could have given him any room number, and he didn't apologize for the inconvenience. The kids enjoyed the water park, the water was warm as was the whole room, they played for several hours!

Last night's front desk staff not very personable; this morning's was better. Room appeared clean; comfy bed; stained chair & carpets. Hardly any water pressure in shower. Room was not sound proof at all! Walls and ceilings must be paper thin. Breakfast was one of the worst ones I've experienced. Decent variety, but awful in taste. Sausage links were so burnt that they resembled something not meant for human consumption (very chewy like jerky). Breakfast area was very messy too. Wasn't digging the paper plates either. Did not utilize water park. Definitely not worth the $$!

Big horn hotel was a nice place to stay and have some fun. When you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with a homey feeling, the main lobby area is nice but a tad old fashioned and could use some more updates. The receptionist was nice and hooked us up immediately with a room at a price of $109, he also informed us of basic amenities and activities the hotel has to offer. The rooms were surprisingly nice, our family got a room with two queen beds, which was nice because other hotels I've been to have been giving us beds that seemed too small for 2 people and is uncomfortable, but Big Horn have us two nice sized beds. The room has one desk with an office chair and a normal chair in the corner, the room did have a tv but it was very old and ran in a low resolution, which wasn't a big deal for me, but if you wanted to come off the road to relax and watch a movie, it's not as enjoyable. The bathroom was typical of any hotel, the shower had a very low water pressure that was quite annoying. The real gem of this hotel however is the activities that are right next to it. Big Horn is right next to two very nice restaurants, we went to one called the montana club, which was incredible and delicious. The hotel is also attached to a nice sized water park that was really fun to hang around in and relax, the hotel also includes a very small arcade(5-6 games), and a bar. The water park does close at early times so if you pull off the road at 8pm the water park will be closed or just about to shut down, so be careful for that. Overall, Big Horn Resort could use some upgrades in the hotel, but it makes up for it by having many features in the hotel.

Perfect hotel for families with children. The rooms were nice, the Reef swimming area was great, and the staff was above and beyond friendly. Best place to stay with kids in Billings!

There for a meeting. No free WiFi access without a code.....cheap cheap. The lobby to the convention center looked like a war zone with buckets and wet floor signs. Fix your roof so the rain does not leak. Coffee for training wasn't hot, barely warm, the pastries were almost still frozen .....
