Bijan’s has the cutest atmosphere, complete with a fireplace and plants and cool lamps hanging all over the place. I love the vibe but wish the food was a little bit better. My partner’s lamb burger was extremely dry and my eggs Benedict was okay but very plain. Overall we were expecting and hoping for a lot more flavor. Also, important to note that brunch is cash only; I’m not sure why as our waitress specifically said it was only brunch.
Had dinner here and the food was pretty good can’t deny it. The overall ambiance is also great. I had the Persian salad sandwich and was given a more than generous serving of fries a little too much for my liking since I don’t like wasting food. My partner had the pistachio crusted salmon and she enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the food was a bit overpriced for its quality and I wasn’t expecting a 20% gratuity given it was only 2 people dining. We spent just over $100 for 1 app, 2 entrees and a margarita.
Nice cozy atmosphere, beautiful sidewalk seating perfect for a date. I recommend the lamb burger add feta cheese and a jalapeño. Service was a bit slow and I had to ask for refills, our waitress was really nice just had a lot on her plate.
Loved this place. A very casual and classy place. Persian-inspired eats & unique craft cocktails offered in a stylish, rustic-chic setting. I love the vibe of this place but wish the food was a little bit better. Though I haven’t tasted all the food there, only the Persian kebabs. So next time I wish to have their famous burgers, specially the beef burger add feta cheese and a jalapeño Another highlight from my first visit is the herbed yogurt meze. Rich, creamy, and ofc wonderfully seasoned. Needless to say, the place is my Brooklyn favorite. Loved the silent movie from old times. Must go place.
Absolutely incredible. Every time I try something new it is even better than the last thing I ordered. Today’s visit was the hanger steak sandwich. The sauce is made from the drippings of the steak and it is wonderfully seasoned. The steak— a perfectly executed medium rare. The greens were good excellent. Please figure out a way to get the fries with whatever you’re ordering as they may be the highlight of the restaurant. Small, crispy, and well seasoned. Bijan’s understands seasonings and the entire menu reflects it. Another highlight from previous visits is the herbed yogurt meze. Rich, creamy, and ofc wonderfully seasoned it calls my name to come back. Needless to say, the place is my Brooklyn favorite.
The meze options are great and so are the entrees. Generous portions, cozy and glowy atmosphere I especially like the table near the window, off on its own little platform. Also a really fun mix of cocktails for happy hour. Definitely will come back!
absolutely delicious brunch! attention-grabbing atmosphere inside and delicious food and drinks. the breakfast pizza was simply delicious and my friend said his burger was also very good okay service, great vibe, and great food if you're in the area and need brunch, i'd recommend!
I generally hesitate to call meals bad, but this is one of the worst meals I've had in New York City. It is worse than just "mediocre" and generally had poor quality food all around. My friend and I had the brunch special, and we ordered the eggs benedict and the steak with eggs, both of which were utter disappointments. The "truffle" fries were stale and not fresh at all; they were not even soggy, just tough and hard to chew. The "hollandaise" was bland, not rich, and altogether tasteless. Its texture somewhat resembled hollandaise but apart from that, it would be an attack to one's integrity to continue calling it hollandaise. The steak was flavorless and tough, even though it was cooked to medium rare, and we struggled to chew through it and to cut through it with our knives. The food and drinks took a while. There were two staff members at the bar and yet our coffee took 10 minutes to be served after our meal. I had the Bijan Bee and the prosecco used was subpar. My friend got the Bijan which was much nicer. The only saving grace is that the music is halfway decent. Will be avoiding this place completely in future, and treating the $25 as money paid for a lesson learnt.
The recent food reviews spooked me but did not match my experience. I came in at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday with my partner and we were the first people to sit and to get served. We got the chicken salad Sammy and the bijan burger and we're both satisfied with our meals. I ordered medium rare and it came out a little more cooked than I preferred, and while it was not the most flavorful burger I've had, it got the job done and I would have eaten another. The fries were not soggy at all but crisp and seasoned. I'd say the food was a little expensive for what you get, but that's just our new reality.
Fabulous lil neighborhood restaurant- love it! Food was great...ambiance...wow!!! Go give it a try!Food: 5/5
