This place is great. Love the atmosphere. The food is farm to table so it's a little more pricey, however, the quality of the food is fantastic. Also the drinks are well presented and taste delicious. Ashley is the best server I've ever had. Ask for her when you go.

My husband and I came in for our anniversary. First time trying this place and have heard nothing but great reviews. My husband ordered the burger which was good. Actually the first time a burger was cooked medium rare in a restaurant. We shared the hummus appetizer which was good. But for my dinner I had the roasted pork with apple onion sauce. The pork came with a side of red wine braised cabbage and raised bread dumplings. Seriously the worst meal I have ever had. I could not touch it. And for 18 dollars I expect a lot more. The cabbage was over powering the plate. It had so much liquid that it soaked the dumplings and the meat. Should be served in a separate bowl. The meat if it had any seasoning to it was not only soaked now, but had no flavor the apple sauce just added to the liquid and I believe was topped with fresh parsley and should not be even on the plate because it doesn’t complement any flavors. Dumplings I have no idea what that was but it had no flavor and was a soaked piece of bread. I have never written a review on a restaurant, but this is that bad of a dish. If you go here I can only recommend going for a drink and a burger.

This was our second time here. The server (Jenna) and bartender (Kevin) were very attentive and fun to talk with. The beer selection is very good and diverse. Food entrees include unique twists with favorite dishes. The location in quaint downtown West Dundee is a plus!

I REALLY enjoyed this place! They have an interesting menu with plenty of selections. Prices are reasonable especially when you consider the quality of the ingredients. The staff were attentive and friendly. I'll be going there again.

Went for late dinner and drinks on a Saturday night and it was the BEST experience I've had at a restaurant in a VERY long time. With a slew of dietary restrictions, preferences and allergies in our party, our server and the chef (yes the chef came and checked on us as well!) both were incredibly attentive and had confident answers to all of our questions. The menu had a beautiful variety of healthy, flavorful and unique dishes. We were all blown away with the service and our meals. Blueroot is officially my new favorite restaurant.
