Gather and celebrate in good taste. Blue Duck Tavern's menu consists of the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans.

Blue Duck Tavern's Chef's Table offers semi-private dining for up to 18 guests. Whether it is dining with a group of friends or hosting an intimate meeting, our culinary team will customize a four or five-course, family-style menu using the freshest ingredients available from our regional purveyors. The menu is prepared in a series of small casserole dishes and served family-style for your party to enjoy. The Chef's Table is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was running some errands around DC and hadn't had breakfast or lunch so I thought I'd drive over to Blue Duck Tavern for brunch. I was about 3-4 miles out and it was 1:45pm when I called them. The women who answered the phone said they were fully commited and brunch ended at 2:30 but I thought I'd still try my luck. Found a quick parking spot, walked in and was told the communal tables and bar area are first come first serve. I found a seat at the bar and managed to order before brunch ended. I settled on a glass of champagne and the short rib hash, fried egg and biscuit. I probably should've read the menu and seen that there was a little horseradish on the bottom of the dish so I tried to avoid it but other than that it was amazing. The bartender was friendly and service was exceptional as always. Glad I didn't listen to the lady on the phone and once again a wonderful dining experience at Blue Duck Tavern! I'll always be back!

Fantastic experience. The food and atmosphere were great.. bone marrow was fantastic as was the matcha ice cream... but the real standout was our waiter Michael. He went above and beyond throughout the dinner, he found out it was our anniversary and the next day sent a lovely note and surprise to our room. Ask for him, you will not be disappoint. Next time we are in DC this is on the repeat list. I don’t do reviews often but this is one of the best experiences we’ve had.

One of the better fine dining experiences in dc. The dishes are quite hefty and generous. Go early in the evening because there’s a chance they might run out of duck (arguably their best dish)

The best brunch!! Can’t get over how good the food was! The sorbet mimosas are so delicious and refreshing! All of the food in the menu looked so good! I had one of the best pancakes of my life!! The crab cakes tasted like crab so much!! And the server was so professional and calm. Loved her! Can’t wait to come for dinner

I've been to BDT a dozen times or more for business and pleasure. It is one of my favorite places for excellent service, ambiance and food/wine. Sadly, my wife and I had to send back our lamb dishes once because the dish was cold. Tonight I ordered halibut and once again the dish was room temperature at best. I'm at a loss how a Michelin star restaurant can repeat this type of service failure. I'll be back for all the reasons I mentioned but will make sure to ask for warm/hot food in the future, an odd but necessary request apparently.
