Story

Boathouse 19 is the newest addition to the Lobster Shop Family of Restaurants. It is conceived to be casual, comfortable, affordable and fun - befitting our dockside setting. With our unique location over the waters of Puget Sound, the fabulous views of the Narrows Bridge and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains, the maritime activity of the Tacoma Narrows Marina, and the romance of the railroad in our backyard - we represent everything wonderful about the Pacific Northwest.

OUR FOOD is vibrant, full-flavored, and wallet-friendly. It is readily understood and expertly prepared. We feature a wide selection of regional American favorites with a modern twist. These are dishes people love, but better than they are expecting. Our same menu is offered continuously throughout the day and the evening and include options for those with gluten allergies. We also offer a fun and appealing Kid's Menu for those nights you would rather leave the cooking to someone else.

BEST OF THE NORTHWEST is emphasized in both our food and beverage selections. Seafood from our local waters, meat from nearby farms, and fresh produce from local growers reflect our local heritage. We strive to use wild seafood whenever possible. Washington and Oregon wines are celebrated on our wine list, and local beers are on tap. Our favorite specialty cocktails were concocted right here at Boathouse 19, and passed muster of the construction crew.

LOCAL ROOTS Boathouse 19 is home-grown in other ways. Our dining room tables are hand-crafted from Nalley Valley pickling barrels, recycled after the closure of the nearly 100-year old plant that was the namesake for the Nalley Valley. Hewn from the Day Island Bridge, our bar top preserves a little more history.
