This place is great for kids off all ages. Very hands on and fun. Interactive activities everywhere you turn. The best part is it is affordable for families with multiple kids. The restrooms are clean and so is the facility itself. The staff is great. They have vending machines for quick snacks or you can pack lunches for a full day of awesome.

It’s not at the high end of children’s museums that we’ve visited but far from the bottom. Pretty good variety of exhibits to eke children busy and learn while doing so. The price won’t hurt you while visiting. Would be great to have refreshments but there is an area where you can enjoy snacks that you brought.

Had my wedding here and it was perfect. The kids had a blast. It was gorgeous and the staff was amazing. I'd highly recommended both coming for a fun day or an event

The Boonshoft is geared toward kids aged 5 to 10. They lose a couple stars because many of their exhibits are broken, and because they have several areas that are essentially playgrounds with no educational value at all. In that regard kids younger than 5 may enjoy being there just so they can play with the various plastic toys. I really wish they would step up their educational game. The cloud chamber and exoplanet exhibit deserve special mention, because they really do introduce the kids to new ideas, and could be interesting to kids over 10.

Fun unexpected museum. Mix of an indoor zoo, children's climbing area, archeology, and planetarium. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Took a camp field trip here and the staff was very helpful with check in and finding a lunch spot when things changed around a bit
