It was a breathtaking experience. I was only able to visit for 2 hours but it was definitely worth the trip. Plan on making it an all day event if you are the type of person who likes to stop and read the signs on most of the exhibits. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and definitely made it an enjoyable time. While on my way out I got to stop and listen to the Air Force band practice for an upcoming concert. Even though the museum was closing I didn’t feel like they were breathing down my neck trying to get me to leave. I will be back, hopefully many more times.

This is a great place to take the family. There's so much to see and you can go inside of more than 5 planes. There is a small cafe area, but you're not permitted food or dink outside of the cafe area. They will do a brief overview inside large purses for weapons. The best part is that they have free admission! @capt_long_wool_silver had a great time and some good pictures :)

My family had an enjoyable day here. The museum was bigger than we anticipated it being. Because of the size, and living fairly close, we didn't see everything. The displays are set up well and the information presented is done clearly. They are currently moving things around to incorporate the Memphis Belle into the exhibit. I completely enjoyed the presidential gallery. Walking through SAM 26,000, where Kennedy's body was transported and Johnson swore in was powerful. We will certainly be going back.

It's free to get in. You cannot eat food in the museum. I'm a mom, so I always pack food for us, especially if we're traveling. I brought a bag of food in with me anyway and only took food out when we were in the cafeteria. No one said anything and we bought a snack too, to be on the safe side. Great experience. I went as a kid with my grandfather who served in the Air Force for a long time. He was a part of the Air Force back when it was the Army Air Corps. and navigated a B-52: "Cow-Town Boogie", crash-landed in Sweden, during WWII; he retired as Colonel. I love going there. We went recently with my daughter and she loved it. I now have two fond memories of coming here. We will be back for sure!

My son & I just finished a 2 day tour of the museum, and it was magnificent! We visited one day last year, but that was merely a sample; we had to come back for more! The tours and tour guides are great, as are the videos. I am also glad to see the museum is dynamic, frequently changing, as the Memphis Belle is coming in May. It was also nice to interact with some of the displays, and fly the simulators. Also appreciated the big gift shop; great place to go at the end of the day. Two thumbs up & 5 stars!
