My kids love the museum center. The Natural History Museum is their favorite. The Duke's Children's Museum is another favorite. We've been going for the last 7 years and I never regret our membership. It is a great value. The food options in the past have left much to be desired. We typically bring food with us now. Love the holiday show as well. Trains and Legos and thoughtful, friendly volunteers.

Such a cool place. Been here multiple times. Tip one see if they have a traveling exhibit we lucked in to the costumes of star wars. Tip two have your kids bring things from nature, leaves, flowers, rocks, etc... if they can tell the staff at the trading store about then they will get points to use. Mine love this they can save for big things like deer skulls or cash out small things like obsidian. There is a scavenger hunt that will get you started so your child can have points if they didn't know to bring anything. Can't wait till the whole restoration is done. They seem to be trying to keep the original union station feel.

It's a little harder to enjoy while under construction but we do have a membership and our kids always have a wonderful time. I love that they allow outside food so we can bring a cooler and stay longer. The cafe by the children's museum is pretty overpriced.

I've been to the Museum Center many times and it is always a pleasant experience. Over the last year's it is gotten a little pricey to go to all of the venues at the same time but each exhibit is well thought through and the presenters at the exhibits do a wonderful job of telling they're stories. I have always especially liked the Cincinnati Riverside exhibit with what appears to be a real riverboat that you can board and a real 1800 Cincinnati Street where you can see the merchants and the printers and The Butchers.

This review is based on the situation present at the Museum Center in December 2017. The facility is under construction but some areas were still open. My primary comment is that it's crazy to charge visitors regular prices for everything during this mess. Parking and exhibit fees are the same as before. This means for a family of four in December 2017, you pay over 40 dollars to see a few small holiday trains in a dingy basement surrounded by busted up floors, holes in walls, construction noise and smells. The Museum Center either needs to close completely or lower its prices instead of pretending like everything at the facility is fine when it's not. I'm sure the place will be great when it reopens, renovated, but for now, come on.
