Briarwood is a wonderful, wonderful school. I went there, and the teachers are great. The homework isn't piled on, The recess is reasonable. The lunches kind of diminished in quality over time though. They don't serve enough food, and the salad bar is typical. The playground faculty are too forceful and humiliating in my opinion, but it was a great school and still is.

Briarwood is a great school. I have had two kids go there (one typical, and one with Aspergers). The teachers and principal take great care and time to get to know each child. My daughter has thrived and loves this school. The Special Needs program, however, is a bit lacking.
