The tall, dark-haired smarmy man in a suit who works downstairs in men’s suiting needs an attitude adjustment. The first time I was there with my significant other who was there to buy two new suits. The attitude of this man was unbelievably rude. So much so, that my partner turned to me and said “I don’t want him getting a single cent of commission from me.” We found another person to assist who was gracious and very helpful. Then, I went to pick up the completed suits from the first visit and had to deal with Smarmy McSmarmerson again. He couldn’t find the suits. He asked me to spell the name. I did. He wandered away. Still couldn’t find them. Had the audacity to ask “are you sure this is the right location?” Had me write down the name. Wandered around again. Looked ANNOYED that he was having to find these suits. Was like “I can’t find them.” Finally, a competent person had found them and handed them to Mr. McSmarmerson who wrapped them up and handed them over with more attitude than I thought possible. Brooks Brothers has a reputation for quality and service and both are being dragged through the mud by this associate. I highly recommend they get him some customer service training or get rid of him.

Disappointed by customer service of staff. Went in for a return and get a shirt button fixed. Happy with the performance of the tailor to get my shirt fixed. Very prompt and always happy with the performance of Brooks Brothers Tailors. I have two instances where I think the associates were not helpful, but the one that sticks out was I was when I was actively searching for pants to replace the current pairs I just returned. I was knee deep in the pants looking for my size, and the associate was continually asking other customers if they needed help. I go up and ask about the current sale, and was informed about the conditions of the sale. I mentioned, "alright, well I'm having trouble looking for my size. I'll keep looking." They then walked off. I'm not an expert on customer service, but I think that was extending the bridge of, "Hey, I need help". They did not offer to help me. So, I tried on a couple pairs for sizing purposes and bought them online. I may try them again because I'm sure the two associates I dealt with were on an off day. To be honest, the best service I received has been at the Brooks Brothers in Baltimore. I may have to drive up the hour just for the quality of service they provide.
