I have been using Brown's Cleaners for years. I brought a leather Frye bag to Brown's for cleaning, and they sent the bag to a leather cleaner in New Jersey. Upon return, the bag had clearly been painted over, or sprayed with some sort of dye, rather than cleaned. It was ruined and the color was completely changed. When I brought it to the attention of Cary Jackson, the owner, he recognized that there was something very wrong and offered to compensate me for the bag. He completely stopped communication when it came time to pay, and now I am stuck with a ruined bag. He didn't even refund me the $60 I paid to have it cleaned, despite saying he definitely would. I advise to never use Brown's cleaners if you care about your garments. The owner has shown a clear disrespect for his customers and lack of integrity. Go to Carriage Cleaners instead!

I don't do much dry cleaning but exclusively use Brown's when necessary. On Saturday AM I took my son's two shirts, a sport coat and pair of dress pants to be dry cleaned as he had an upcoming interview. I watched my daughter-in-law take the four items into the store. I asked her to get a price as I was paying for the items. She came out with two tickets, the prices quoted to her were two shirts 3.90 and coat and pants total 11.00. She asked if she could have the clothes by Tuesday, she was told yes, it was written on the ticket. Today, Wednesday, we go in to get his clothes and they only return the two shirts and sports coat. When I asked where his pants were, I was told we didn't drop off pants. I assured her I did and that we were give a price for the four items. She proceeded to wait on two other customers and then went to get her boss. When I told him about it, he basically said my daughter-in-law and I were liars and that if his clerk said there were no pants, there were no pants. My daughter-in-law identified the clerk there as the one there on Saturday and stated that she had waited on her, and the woman said "you did not bring in pants". So we asked what now, he said we were pretty much SOL because he believed his clerk. When he said it was a "special order" I asked what that meant, he said...you brought them in on Monday and wanted them Tuesday. I said no, we brought them in on Saturday morning and asked for Tuesday. Then he said, no you brought them in on Monday....I said NO I DID NOT. He said well you brought them in on Saturday p.m. Again, I said NO I DID NOT. So he pretty much dismissed me without apologizing or anything. The clerk stood there smug. I WILL NEVER EVER USE BROWNS AGAIN, NONE OF THE LOCATIONS. What poor, poor, customer service! I had to go buy a new pair of pants for my son's interview tomorrow, for which I really didn't have the money. WHAT A RIPOFF......THIS PLACE HAS HORRIBLE REVIEWS AND I SEE WHY

Rude staff all around. I now DRIVE 2 MILES FOR DRY CLEANING INSTEAD. I life 2 min from the cleaners so I figured they would be the best place to go. I dropped off 4 shirts and asked if they could be done within 2-3 days. They wouldn't budge on a week. I went back after a week and they told me they were a day behind so it took them a extra day to do it. At the end of it all they were completely unapologetic. Yep, they don't really care. I went to Skyline Cleaners. Within 2-days every single time. Always courteous and don't charge me a cent more than Browns. The extra drive is worth it.
